Location

This hotel is situated in the heart of the city, only a few metres from the major attractions, the tourist centre, and a bus station. Countless restaurants, nightclubs, and Chinatown are located in the near vicinity, while it is a 20-minute walk to old Montreal. Guests will reach the Casino in about 3 km, it is about 4 km to the Bell Center, and the city of Ottawa lies some 25 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1890. Guests have a choice of 35 non-smoking rooms, including 4 suites and 21 single rooms, located in a 3-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A variety of shops are available, including a supermarket. Children can enjoy the playground. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a car hire service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a coin-operated laundry. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. A casino offers fun and entertainment.

    Good Budget Hotel

    The staff members were great and were really helpful when I asked for a refund for one of the nights, but the only thing that bothered me, is that it wasn’t fully cleaned, like you would find some areas that were forgotten to be cleaned.But generally speaking, this is a good budget hotel and gets the job done.

    There is no lift or elevator. All rooms are up a wooden staircase. My room did not have a working air conditioner (even after they sent someone up to fix it ).The room is VERY tiny with a standard bed and a tiny shower. Many rooms are less than six feet tall some with a staircase intruding into your room.Many rooms do not have a refrigerator. Parking is a joke. You need to find your own parking on the street. This is located just out of the financial center. Parking on the street is a challenge. For the money in Montreal, you can do better.     It was terrible experience for me. The hotel is managed by people from India, it doesn't have anything common with Paris. The hotel is very dirty and old. The kitchen stinks a lot. It is impossible to enjoy breakfast there. We got very bad room. The bathroom was full of mould and the window was broken, it was impossible to close it. After we complained they changed our room for better, but the mould was there too and the aircondition wasnt working at all.They asked us for deposit 200 $ in cash for this terrible room. We considered it as very rude behavior from the manager and inapriopate. Hotel de Paris, General Manager at Hotel de Paris Montreal, responded to this review Hi,Thank you for your stay at the Paris hotel.We apologize to you for the window that does not close because it has been repaired, the director himself has given you an Upgrade to a larger room that you reserved.If you travel often for the deposit in Montreal, 99.99% of hotels take the deposit!Yes we have some employees from India, that seems to bother you!! we are proud of them because they are Canadian residents and citizens!     This hotel had plenty of charm, was really accessible and felt very authentic. It ticked off all the boxes for me when I was looking to stay for two nights as close to downtown Montreal as possible. There are not many places that offered any breakfast and come under $120 a night.
