This hotel is centrally located in downtown Montréal, just 20 minutes from the airport. It is connected by an underground walkway to the Palais des Congrès Convention Centre as well as Chinatown, Old Montréal (Vieux-Montréal) and Place des Arts. Complexe Desjardins, a retail and office complex is adjacent to the hotel and offers over 120 shops, boutiques and restaurants. Guests will also find nightspots in the immediate vicinity, in Sainte-Catherine Street. The Mont Royal ski slopes are only a 10-minute drive away. Links to the public transport network are in the immediate vicinity and the train station is 10 minutes away by public transport.

Facility

The hotel has 605 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 12 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     The thought of visiting Montreal excited us, and knowing we were staying at a Hilton property right in the middle of the action was incredibly reassuring. Unfortunately, that reassurance vanished the moment we arrived.Finding the hotel was a challenge. Our Uber driver was thoroughly confused because there is no clear signage for the drop-off zone. Since the entrance is tucked near a mall parking complex, even a local driver struggled to navigate it. Once we finally reached the drop-off area, we began unloading our several large suitcases while the doorman simply stood by and watched. It wasn't until we had completely unloaded everything and were tipping the driver that he finally walked over to offer help. By then, the damage was done, and we politely declined.The front desk is located a few floors up. While the check-in staff welcomed us with the signature warm cookies, the hospitality quickly fell short when we were assigned a room thrown at the very end of a long hallway, exceptionally far from the elevators. It felt incredibly inconsiderate after a long journey. However, the saving grace of our arrival was Mr. Jassem. He stepped in, handled our discomfort beautifully, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of.The rooms themselves were wonderful—clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Additionally, the location is unbeatable. It sits right at the heart of Montreal's bustling events and activities, with the massive convenience of being directly connected to the underground Complexe Desjardins.Breakfast, however, brought another wave of disappointing service. While the food itself was just okay, we were treated to the awkward spectacle of the hostess and our waiter having a heated, poorly concealed argument in the corner. With all the dramatic hand gestures, the waiter seemed so visibly upset that our request for a coffee refill was completely ignored twice. The atmosphere in the breakfast room felt incredibly cold, leaving us wishing we had just gone outside for a warm Montreal bagel instead.While the location and room quality are excellent, the inconsistent service means that if I were to visit Montreal again, I would seriously think twice before staying here.     “Attended the 2026 Montreal Salsa Convention at DoubleTree by Hilton Montréal on Friday and had a very disappointing experience.Security was overly aggressive, searching personal bags and forcing guests to throw away sealed water bottles and Gatorade. Inside, the ventilation was terrible, rooms were overcrowded and extremely hot, and even paper cups of water were not allowed outside the ballroom.There was also no proper space for jackets, so many people had to leave them on the floor.I spoke with someone who identified himself as the hotel manager and was told this was “hotel policy.” When I politely asked where this policy was posted, he simply walked away without answering.For a major paid event, the organization, customer service, and treatment of guests were far below expectations. I would not recommend this venue or event.”

    One of the nice hotels in Montreal, located conveniently near a large shopping underground mall and within walking distance of the city’s attractions, offers comfortable rooms and good service. However, the elevators can be slow at times.I encountered only one issue during my stay: the water stopped running in the middle of the morning. The staff promptly attempted to fix it, and I noticed that many other guests had also complained about the same problem.

    We had an incredibly comfortable suite in the penthouse at this hotel for three nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were immaculate. Staff were friendly. On-site parking was convenient and going in and out was easy. Walking distance to almost everything we needed. Breakfast was good, not great. If I had to critique anything I’d say the interior spaces were uncomfortably warm. We were there in April and the temps still got close to freezing outside, and the hotel had the heat cranking. Even the parking garage was uncomfortably warm. We had to run the AC in our room. Also, not the hotel’s fault, but the area of town can be a little loud at night. Super happy with our stay though!
