    Memorable stay for all the right reasons

    First time staying at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Montreal Centre Ville and it was fantastic. The front desk staff are warm, friendly and efficient. My guest room was spacious, comfortable and sparkling clean. Very convenient to have a keurig with a nice variety of coffee and tea as well as a small fridge and a microwave in the room. There is a very well stocked tuck shop that even has a variety of ice cream treats. A tasty buffet breakfast is included with your stay and offers the biggest selection of food at any hotel chain I’ve stay in. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. All areas around the buffet were clean and the tables and chairs area was tidy and clean. On my last day at the hotel I left a normal looking lobby and when I returned it was totally decorated for the upcoming F1 weekend. The front desk even gave me a cute F1 themed goodie bag. All in all I had a wonderful 4 night stay and I recommend this hotel without hesitation.     Hotel was really nice. Room cleaned everyday. Very centrally located and could walk everywhere from old town to downtown. Breakfast was amazing and best part about it was the hot options changed each day.     This hotel is in an absolutely outstanding location. Quick walk to Old Town which is fun, historical and full of amazing restaurants. Very quick uber/taxi to other parts of downtown Montreal. I've read reviews that mention a "homeless encampment" adjacent to the hotel. This is not entirely accurate. There are some unhoused people that were in an alley nearby, but absolutely not an issue in that location compared to other major cities. Do not let that be a deterrent. The rooms were clean and what you would expect from this chain. I enjoyed that they have replaced the carpet with vinyl flooring. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the free breakfast was extremely chaotic. It was absolutely packed every day and they often ran out of food items. That being said the staff were constantly hustling to refill and were always polite and busy! I would absolutely stay here again.     We chose this hotel because of the location (close to the Old City, metro stops for each of the orange and green lines, the large IGA grocery at complexe des jardins). And because it offers suites with a real oven and stove in the kitchenette, which was perfect for our week long stay and we did not wish to eat out for every meal.
