  Terrible Customer Service and Rude Staff

  Good location and decent rooms. Service is terrible and staff are quite rude and uncaring, up to the management levels. I parked in front of the hotel during check-in and hotel staff advised that it was ok to stay there while checking in. Unfortunately I was ticketed for $400 by the city of Montreal as I was not allowed to park there at the time. I advised the staff and spoke to management and even Corporate about what happened. They were unwilling to even consider a reduction or waving of the $75 which I paid to the hotel for 2 nights parking given the significant issues and inconvenience which I encountered from being improperly advised by their staff. The manager on duty at the time was even laughing that the city is broke so they do those things. I would strongly recommend guests avoid this hotel and stay at either their sister property in Montreal’s Chinatown where service is amazing or another hotel.

  The meaning of excellent customer service

  We were visiting Montreal for a wedding a 7 minute walk away.The location was ideal, our room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The little snack shop by the front desk was convenient and the customer service was exceptional. I forgot my tablet (a special gift from my dad) in the bed. Not on, but in. I did a scan of the room and saw nothing. Got home a few hours later and started panicking when I realized it was not there.I called the hotel immediately and was told to call in the morning and speak to the Director of Housekeeping. I was able to send him an email explaining the situation.Later that day I was told the tablet was in the lost and found.Only 9 days later (friends of friends were 2 blocks away and were able to bring it back to me) it's back home with me. I can't thank the staff enough.I would absolutely recommend this hotel and we are looking forward to going back soon!We also appreciated the "quiet policy" they have. It was the quietest hotel stay we have ever had. Love this hotel and the staff!

  Great room and location but terrible service and staff

  This stay was a bit mixed. The location was great, especially being close to a metro station, and the room itself was spacious with plenty of towels. The pool was also a nice bonus. However, the service was disappointing—staff were unfriendly, and there was no WiFi for the entire stay due to repairs, which was frustrating. Not the best hotel experience, but since we were out most of the time, it didn’t completely ruin the trip.   Awesome suite! Perfect stay!

  Our welcome was warm and friendly. We stayed in a corner room suite which was absolutely huge! The views were amazing! It was spotlessly clean and was well appointed. Neither of us wanted to leave! It’s one of the best suites we’ve ever stayed in and it definitely made our Montréal stay. Many thanks for your hospitality. Will look forward to returning.

  Front desk has attitude

  The room was small, which I agree with most of the reviews about this place, but it did the job for our two-night stay. However, when we arrived, the man at the front desk greeted us with a very condescending attitude. When I mentioned that our parking was included but we couldn’t access the lot because they were doing asphalt work, he basically told me it wasn’t his problem since the hotel itself pays $26 a day — which I found quite rude and unprofessional. We ended up driving in circles trying to find parking, even though I had already paid $20 through Hotels.com.The mattresses were extremely soft — too soft — and I woke up with back pain both mornings. The pillows were also very flat, and when I asked for a thicker one, I was told they’re all the same and that I couldn’t just stack two together.Other than that, it’s your typical Holiday Inn — nothing fancy, but it works for a short stay. The front desk staff, especially the man on the far left who checked us in, could really use a reminder that customer service starts with basic courtesy.
