    Bug bites during stay

    I stayed here for two nights and unfortunately experienced BUG BITES during my stay. What was more disappointing was how it was handled afterward. I reported it immediately, but received no response for several days. The hotel later relied on a visual inspection conducted after I had already left to dismiss the issue.There were inconsistent messages regarding compensation, followed by a final refusal. The brand ultimately deferred the matter back to the property.Travelers should be aware that if you encounter a health-related issue here, the post-stay handling may be slow and dismissive. Not a stay I would recommend to travelers who prioritize peace of mind when it comes to hygiene. I personally wouldn’t risk taking anything unwanted away from a stay like this.     This hotel is conveniently located to get around downtown Montreal, whether you are walking to an event at Bell Centre or to a spa in Old Montreal.The hotel is in good condition but yes, it needs a refresh. Check in was easy with Darrin who was quick and efficient.Room 507 was clean and is a good size. The bathroom especially! Parking is available on site and is easy to access.Because of the price and the location, would stay again for those reasons. But no, the hotel is not new and is not fancy.     Horrible experience with this hotel!!Booked 3 nights stay with this hotel via Expedia for August 14 to Auhust 17 , 2025 on August 9 . The booking was confirmed.Today at 3pm , the day before my trip to Montreal, out of the blue the hotel just emailed me a cancellation notice without any reason or explanation! I have to scramble looking to book for another hotel!What kind of a hotel which does not hour the booking they have confirmed and abruptly cancel the customer's room reservation just the day before planned travel!Think twice before you put your trust in this hotel when booking a room with them!     I’m taking the time to provide positive feedback for the excellent service received during our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Montreal Centreville Downtown. First, I was greeted and helped by “Pierre” at the reservation service counter. This gentleman is amazing; he was very professional, knowledgeable, informative and went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. This is a great hotel with a super welcoming staff. This was a great stay and experience for us and definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

    We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Montreal Centreville Downtown during a short visit to see Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal on our way to Quebec. We chose the hotel mainly because of a membership deal and didn't do much research about Montreal ahead of time—but what a lucky choice it turned out to be!From the moment we arrived, the doorman Jie Hau made our experience exceptional. He warmly greeted us, helped us with our luggage, and brought a great sense of cheer that immediately set the tone for our stay. Later, as we were heading out to explore Chinatown for dinner, we mentioned a restaurant we had in mind. Jie Hau gently suggested a different spot—Chez Chili, tucked away in a basement that we never would have discovered on our own. It ended up being one of the best meals of our trip!Throughout our stay, Jie Hau continued to offer excellent local recommendations that made our brief time in Montreal much more enjoyable and personalized. His kindness and attention to guests truly went above and beyond.As for the hotel itself, it meets the high standard we've come to expect from Holiday Inn, with clean rooms and reliable amenities. What really stands out is the stunning reception area, with elegant Chinese-inspired architecture, walkways over koi-filled water, and a tranquil, cultural ambiance that adds something unique to the experience.Highly recommend this location—and if you're lucky enough to meet Jie Hau at the door, you’re in for a great start to your visit.
