    We had two rooms both had two Queen size beds; bathroom was adequate and the rooms were very clean. We were all females doing a weekend away. My only pet peeve were the swinging bathroom doors and the fact that it was a bit impersonal. But it was economical and the location was good. Staff at front desk were outstanding. Our shower head fell off; I have never seen a group that went above and beyond to apologize and try to rectify the situation. At the end of the day the front desk were 5 plus star and my husband and I have stayed in mostly 5 star hotels all over the world.

    I have stayed at many of the Alt's sister properties Le Germain (Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Baie St. Paul) but this was my first time staying at Alt. The location is outstanding. Rooms are comfortable, clean, well designed. The staff were very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for a hotel with European sensibility then this is the place for you.

    We would definitely return. For downtown hotels, the room rate was among the most affordable for us. You have to pay for parking, but it wasn't too bad (about $84 Cdn for three nights). The underground parking garage is very convenient and has four Level 2 EV charging spots. The staff were friendly and responsive. We really liked the Griffintown location, too. We were able to leave the car parked and could walk to where we wanted to go in Old Montreal and downtown. The hotel is quiet. The room had a neat layout and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom (shower only) was spacious. Our only minor quibbles were that we prefer foam pillows over feather pillows and the towels seemed slightly rough. There's an Adonis grocery store nearby if you want to buy your own breakfast items.

    Run down and disappointing.

    Not particularly good. No real welcome, although we did arrive later on. Lifts are very slow. Everything is a little run down, marked and scuffed. Basics are done and design is fine. Ceilings are tall and there’s space. But as tends to happen with inner city hotels, very worn. Reminds me of a CitizenM, which it is probably just better than given the room size. One thing I couldn’t understand was the lack of blinds. Room has flimsy inadequate window blinds. It’s bright from early morning. So don’t expect a good night sleep or recovery from a long flight.
