We will definitely return to hotel Le dauphin for our next visit to Longquiel

    rating26 Apr 2026

We traveled by rail to Montreal and then Longquiel , for a weekend visit with our grandson. We had original booked another hotel, but after reading the reviews for this Hotel, I quickly booked it for the weekend. I had originally booked a queen room, but had the opportunity to upgrade to a deluxe king suite, which I did. We were treated and welcome at the front desk and were totally surprised on the size of the suite and the fact that windows opened in all rooms. The suite included a mini fridge, micro and keurig coffee maker. (The front desk had decaffeinated coffee pods available, upon request). Breakfast was included with the room rate and the famous montreal sesame seed bagels ,along with warm butter croissants, were not only delicious, but a welcomed choice. Breakfast also included yogurts, juices, boiled eggs, cheese, breads, instant portage, cereals and fresh fruits . It is an easy 10 minute walk from the university of Sherbrooke metro station.Should your travels bring you to Longquiel , make sure to include the Hotel Le Dauphin.

Fantastic. Great location, very easy to get into the city. Free parking. Charming staff, clean rooms with VERY comfortable beds. The room was quiet overnight, and the breakfast in the morning was actually really good. Will absolutely stay here again.

If you're on a gluten-free diet, this is not the hotel for you

    rating14 Oct 2025

This is a very clean and modern hotel outside of Montreal, but close to the major roadways. We usually stay here for our yearly trip to the Arena Maurice Richard which is part of the old Olympic village. This is where you will also find the Biodome and the botanic gardens. Depending on traffic, it took us 20-30 minutes to drive from the hotel to our destination. Hotel PARKING is free. Even though it's surrounded by highways, the rooms are well insulated and there is little to no NOISE pollution. The only noise you will hear comes from inconsiderate hotel guests, and the closing of heavy doors to the various rooms. The LIGHTING in the room (300) and bathroom is what I call "atmospheric." There's no bright light to help you apply makeup or shave. I like the fact that the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel comes in refillable bottles. If you happen to prefer DECAF, you're out of luck. The fresh and free coffee in the lobby/breakfast area is always caffeinated. If you want to use the Keurig machine in your room, you'll have to ask the front desk for decaf capsules which taste horrible. In spite of what we were promised at check in, there were NO GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS at breakfast, other than fruit, eggs, and yoghurt. My wife has Celiac disease and is lactose intolerant, so her choices were extremely limited. The breakfast is mainly grain based. However, the juices are fresh and delicious. Contrary to the sign in the elevator, there's no vending machine in the basement. Lastly, be aware that this hotel has a 2-day stay minimum. We only needed a room for one night, so based on that I will look for an alternative next time we go to Montreal.

A more friendly and welcoming staff would have earned a 5 star!

    rating04 Oct 2025

Arrived at 4:00pm check-in yesterday. Registration was smooth and easy although staff was rather robotic with a forced smile. We were assigned Room 501 (top floor, corner room). This is a Pet free hotel which we were happy about. Large bright and clean room with lots of windows. Amazingly clean and very comfortable king bed with clean linens, desk with an Apple computer, large long seating against one wall, (great for storing your personables and not having to put them on the floor), a comfortable corner seating area with table and a hug flat screen tv. Bathroom was newly renovated with a comfortable layout. Beautiful shower with wonderful smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hair dryer and fluffy clean towels and facecloths also supplied. Hardwood floors. Very clean! There are a Tim Hortons and and IGA grocery store nearby along with a gas station. Restaurants are about a 20 min drive away in Montreal (you get there using the Pont Jacques-Cartier. Elevator has a room key swipe for added security as does the hotel parking lot in the rear. The thing I did not like was that the ice machine is located in the basement and you are literally alone down there until the one and only elevator comes back down to get you. We found breakfast was a letdown based upon the past reviews posted. Basic fare - juices, coffee, pastries, yogurt, packaged cheese, boiled eggs and toast. Nothing close to what past patrons were raving about. As stated, this came very close to being a 5 star stay for us had it not been for the lack of friendliness from staff and the scary location of the ice machine.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and convenient for travel into Montreal

    rating05 Aug 2025

My wife and I have a fantastic 2 night stay at the Hotel Dauphin in Longueuil. We usually stay in Montreal, but find the constant road construction and searching for parking to be too much. Hotel Dauphin has so much to offer. The room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the staff extremely friendly. The in-room iMac computer was a nice touch. Breakfast was far better than most places we stay. Parking is free, and it is less than a 10 minute walk to the Metro station. From there, it is a 2 stop trip into Montreal's Berri-UQAM station. Here, one can transfer onto several other lines.
