  We stayed at this hotel because we had a family reunion in the area. We arrived at 3pm to find out that our room was not ready and would only be ready in an hour. As we were already late, we decided to leave and check in after the reunion. At 9pm we received a call from the hotel telling us that we had to check in before 10:30 as the reception closed at 11pm. We had to leave the family reunion early to make sure we had a place to stay.Once we checked in at 10:45pm, we noticed the fireplace in the room wasn't working. We called and they sent Maintenance who couldn't get it working either. Would have been nice given it was Valentine's day and one of the reasons we booked this hotel. We were not compensated for either of these issues. Other than those issues, the hotel was well located. A big of a walk to the town of St. Sauveur but doable. Room was very nice and had a patio. I liked that you had to complete a waiver before arrival stating that you will not smoke or vape on the premises. I appreciated that the room was NOT carpet and it felt much cleaner.

  I stayed for 1 night and decided to book.another night. The room is nice, great view, fairly clean. But the service is not good with some of their staff. When I checked in the woman at front desk was welcoming, no problem. I reserved for another night later in the evening. In the morning around 9am a cleaner opens the door to my room. I was still in bed. I told him to leave. I asked what he wanted and he replied in Spanish only. So I closed and locked the door. There was no do not disturb sign in the room. I called front desk and she said she would speak to the cleaner. Does she speak Spanish? Who knows. I went down later to update my room key card and the receptionist said she couldn't find the payment or reservation. The room had been prepaid. I gave her the booking number and she found it. She said she's new but that's not my problem. I don't see why it would take long to find the reservation anyway. Then I had to sign a check in paper but it was the same form I already signed when I first checked in. Even though I told her 3x she asked me 2x what room I'm in. She updated the key card. Then I asked if the coffee was fresh. They usually have coffee in the a.m. She said It's been there 2 hours, then she said there's none left so she brewed another one. I got the coffee, went to my room. A few hours later another cleaner tried to get into my room even though I got the do not disturb sign and it was on my door. She looked me up and down and says she was told to clean my room. I said I didn't request service. She asked if I paid and staying another night. I said yes. I asked if the front desk told her I'm staying. She said no. Then she left. So again this receptionist was causing problems. Don't they train these people?I read the other reviews on this hotel and it sounds like they have a history of entering guests rooms without warning and bad front desk service. I stayed here before and there was a grubby looking old guy working at front desk who broke into my room without warning claiming the tv's weren't working. Mine was working ok. No problem. So he left. It looked like he was trying to get into my room. Because this keeps happening it sounds like they're trying to annoy the guests and cause them aggravation. They should've corrected these issues already.

  Great location. Reasonable price. Cleanliness not up to par.

  Great location and very reasonable price. Lobby and reception desk very messy. Staff stayed seated and kept eating their meal while we checked in. Hallway floors were dirty. Room was spacious, but dust on all the furniture. Long stands of hair on white comforter, shower had not been cleaned properly. Bathroom towels had a grey tinge to them from use. Ceiling, windows, carpet and furniture required fixing, mending, cleaning.

  Cleanliness leaves to be desired. Hairs on bathroom floor and on vanity.Request to clean made but not done. Do not forget anything in the room. They do not ship back to you. Not very friendly staff who do not apologize for the problems encountered.

  On the positive side: ample and comfortable room and bathroom. Days prior to arrival desk staff was able to switch rooms so that we could get one with handicapped accessible shower. Excellent location for downtown shops and restaurants.On the negative: the rug was dirty with several spills. Toilet leaked slightly at the base. The breakfast was pitiful: only choice was three flavors of prewrapped, no icing cupcakes and beverage. No bread/toast or bagels.
