A Great Experience at Hôtel Saint-Sulpice

    rating05 May 2026

Hôtel Saint-Sulpice is a beautiful hotel! My family and I were visiting Montréal for the first time and one of the best decisions I made was choosing to stay at Hôtel Saint-Sulpice. Perfectly positioned in the heart of Old Montréal, a wide variety of activities, food, and cultural wonders were within walking distance of the hotel. Even the metro was near by in the event that we wanted to branch out further. The service we received even before we stepped foot in Montréal to the day we checked out was nothing short of remarkable. Sara from the concierge team assisted me over email with several inquiries, and she was just as kind and helpful in person. I regret that I do not remember the bellman’s name but there was a bellman who assisted us during our check-in who was kind, personable, and had the most friendly spirit each time we saw him after. Two front desk agents were so sweet to my 11-month old daughter, giving her a stuffed animal that she certainly fell in love with. I believe that special touch for their smallest guests is one they should always be proud of! There was also a front desk agent who worked the night shift on one evening of our stay who taught us a little French. Now let’s talk about the room. Our room was breathtaking. The online photos do not do justice to the beauty that is the Apartment Saint Paul. The room was very spacious, clean, cozy, and it had such a beautiful view. One of my favorite features was the outdoor terrace with the table and chairs. Even my daughter loved the room. When we settled in, she crawled around with laughter and excitement for quite some time.Ultimately, I would be remiss if I visited Montréal again and did not stay at Hôtel Saint-Sulpice. As a frequent traveler and a hotelier myself, I can undoubtedly say that Hôtel Saint-Sulpice has been the best hospitality experience I have ever had. I appreciate everyone at Hôtel Saint-Sulpice who had even a small hand in making my family’s experience a memorable one! Marc-André Dandeneau, General Manager at Hotel Saint-Sulpice, responded to this review Dear M.Caastal35430109527Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Hôtel Saint-Sulpice for your first visit to Montréal. We are truly delighted to know that your stay with your family was such a memorable experience.Your kind words about our team, especially Sara and our front desk and bell staff, mean a great deal to us. We are also so happy that your daughter enjoyed her special gift and felt at home in the Apartment Saint Paul suite. It is especially rewarding to receive such praise from a fellow hotelier and frequent traveler. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and we cannot wait to welcome you and your family back on your next visit to Montréal!Warm regards, zineb Room Division Supervisor

    Great for a vacation, But

    rating01 May 2026

I recently stayed at a hotel in Old Montréal and overall had a really enjoyable experience—especially from a leisure perspective. The location is hard to beat. Being right in the heart of the historic district meant I could walk to great restaurants, cafés, and the waterfront within minutes. The charm of the surrounding cobblestone streets and architecture really added to the vacation feel. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a lot of character that fit perfectly with the Old City vibe. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming—exactly what you’d want for a getaway. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it as a business-friendly stay. The room, while comfortable, didn’t offer much in terms of a functional workspace. There wasn’t a proper desk setup, and seating wasn’t ideal for working for extended periods. If you’re planning to spend a lot of time on a laptop or taking calls, it could be a bit frustrating. In short, it’s a great choice for a vacation where you want to enjoy Montréal and soak in the surroundings—but if you’re traveling for business or need a productive in-room work environment, you may want to look elsewhere. Marc-André Dandeneau, General Manager at Hotel Saint-Sulpice, responded to this review Dear M. bigslb,Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our prime location in Old Montréal and the charm, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel it’s exactly what we strive to offer for a memorable getaway. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the workspace in the room. While our suites are designed to prioritize comfort and relaxation, we understand that business travelers may have different needs, and your comments will certainly be taken into consideration. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another leisure stay in the future!
