  We were driving on our way back from New Brunswick and got a flat tire 2.5 hours out from the hotel. Unfortunately there was no way to get a tow to bring us and we had to stay overnight in Lévis as a result.I had called the Econo ahead of time and explained our situation and then also spoke with hotels.com who assured me that they would cancel the reservation so that we would not be a “no-show” and request a refund.After multiple attempts by both myself and hotels.com Econo Lodge refuses to give us a refund.We were stranded, had to pay for another hotel and car repairs on top of having to pay for this hotel charge that we weren’t able to make it to for circumstances that were out of our control.I find it really awful that they wouldn’t refund me $250. It may not seem like a lot to a company like Econo Lodge but to an individual that now has car repair costs and additional hotel costs it is a lot.I am never staying or booking with this chain again and will make sure to let friends and family know as well that there are way better options.   We stayed there a weekend recently, decor is a bit outdated but room was very clean and confortable. Oustanding customer service from Ann Marie from the housekeeping staff, very attentive & attention to details, we felt in a high end establishment with a European flair or a boutique hotel. Well located property, appreciated the free WIFI, parking and excellent breakfast. Room located in the basement was noisy at some times in the corridor (very hard knocks on other room doors which woke up one of our young boys and myself).   Lucky find.

  Lucky find. We checked in with our aging dog for 1 night July 1st. We arrived by Urbo Pet because our truck had let us down. Easy check in and room was clean. Only problem, we were on 2nd floor with no elevator and open stairwell. Our poor dog does not do stairs well but with encouragement he managed. Included breakfast was great with husband making himself an "egg mcmuffin" and me a baggle and peanut butter and banana. We stayed an extra day while truck was repaired. It was a seamless recheck in. We used the outdoor space with picnic tables and benches all day. Loved how close a grocery store was and a lovely green space within a km of walking. Loved the tea and coffe, both regular and decaf, in the lobby available all day. Staff was exceptional from check in to check out, cleaning, and maintenance, stopping to talk about our dog or giving advice. Only downfall is if you have mobility issues, each room has at least one level of stairs. Microwave, coffee machine and fridge included in room. Shower was hot with lots of pressure. One small window that opens but we used the AC. Definately would stay again.   We stayed 5 nights, and found the hotel, overall, very comfortable.Pros:- free breakfast (eggs, sausage, cheese, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, English muffins)- small but new gym- brand new patio with picnic tables- gourmet coffee machine at front desk available 24/7- free parking- next door to large grocery store- McDonald's and Tim Hortons in walking distance- jacuzzi hot tub in room- AARP discountCons:- breakfast was the exact same every day - eggs and sausage. It would be nice to alternate with hash browns and bacon for example- old a/c unit- not much of a view from the room, just a field... it might be nice to plant some flowersOverall very nice. We'd stay there again.
