    Friendly, clean and mostly comfortable, (winter) heat in hallways and corridors would make a huge impact on enjoyment of the facility.

    Family Fun weekend

    We had a Family weekend planned for a Grandchild’s Hockey tournament in Huntsville. We decided on this hotel because of the pool and indoor corridors. We had a great time! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the pool was well attended.We enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby (sadly the fridge with the creamers and milkettes stopped working and the early morning young woman didn’t seem to care.)Big shout out to the lovely helpful front desk staff woman who checked us in and sorted out our rooms. As well, can’t forget to commend the young man on front desk who literally ran to replenish the pool towels. Super service!The Bowling alley was also a big hit-what fun.The Hotel restaurant was simply wonderful. Delicious breakfast and very very reasonably priced. The server who we had each morning was lovely and efficient. She was very busy the first morning and kept on top of everything. Dinner salads really hit the spot.Overall, we had a great stay (4 families) the paint could be touched up, the walls were a bit scuffed but did not affect our enjoyment and the helpful service.

    From outside almost looks industrial not the usual brick building. But inside was great. Rooms were huge and clean. Staff were very nice. A bit sad that bowling alley open on weekends, so we couldn’t use. The restaurant is new, it’s open but Reno’s not complete, so we didn’t eat there.

    Terrible customer service and dirty rooms!My husband and I spent a night at the Quality Inn recently and had a terrible experience. Our room had not been cleaned properly, clothing items from previous guests were left behind in the room and Reeses Pieces chocolate bar wrappers were stuffed behind the bed side tables and behind the head board of the mattress which makes me question if they even took the time to change the bed sheets. Not only is this disgusting but very concerning for anyone that may have a peanut allergy!When I approached the service desk and explained the state of our room, we were told to come back in the morning and we would be issued a refund. However when we spoke with the manager the next morning he said that they would not be issuing a refund or any compensation and that we should have been offered a room change instead. This option was not offered when I approached the desk nor did they offer to send someone to clean the room properly. The manager didn't even offer an apology just simply said we will make sure that this doesn't happen again. When I called Choice hotels to issue a complaint about my stay and the terrible customer service, the woman on the phone apologized and offered us some compensation. However it has been a few weeks now and the company had made this process very difficult as people seem unresponsive and lack an understanding of how to complete the refund process. I understand this was not a 5 star hotel but OMGSH - the service and state of the room is beyond unacceptable.

    Poor customer service at the front desk

    The room was fine and the river view was lovely. However, the young man on the desk when we checked in was most unhelpful and condescending. His poor customer service and rude behavior continued during the several times that we dealt with him after checking in. In contrast, the woman on the desk the next morning was helpful and a pleasure to deal with - perhaps she could train her young colleague in the art of good customer service! In addition, it is extremely misleading for the hotel to advertise the restaurant on their website when it is under renovation and therefore closed!!!Probably would not stay there again.
