Check in problems ruined stay

When we tried to check in, they were having problems with their credit card machine, and couldn't get it to work. The $100 hold that they use in case of room damage, had to be paid in cash, because none of our cards would work. The card worked everywhere else on the trip. Now that I'm home and can check my credit cad, I'm finding that there are four separate pending transactions for $100 each, rather than one final charge of $118.87 that I agreed to.

Terrible!!! Double charged me on room. Front desk attendant was not helpful. I would not advise this hotel to anyone. They committed fraud!!!!

Impressive renovation

This conveniently located motel is nearing the end of a major renovation. We were quite pleased with our dog-friendly room — clean, fresh, contemporary, well-equipped and well-organized. The bright bathroom had a large tiled shower with rain shower head. A bonus is a back door that opens onto a semi-private green space with trees, which would be a nice respite once the waist high snow melts! The included continental breakfast had variety plus a sit down breakfast bar at which to enjoy it. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Rooms newly renovated ... very clean and fresh. It does look a bit dumpy from the outside as they have yet to redo the doors and such. We were tenting in the area and had to move to a hotel due to storms last minute. We were one of the first to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. They were nice and clean. We liked the little deck on the back to sit outside. Beds were clean and comfortable. They offered a little brown bag take away breakfast which was nice. It contained a yogurt, granola bar, apple, juice and a water bottle. There are coffee machines in the room, and also a coffee machine in the reception which I personally preferred. Staff were friendly when we saw them around. Overall my family of four was happy with our stay.
