Dirty old motel. Carpet in room filthy and stained. Bathroom shower was rusted I would not recommend this motel at all. Needs a complete makeover

    Good for a night stay

We need a place to stay for the night that fit our bicycles inside the room. This place was great for that, big space in front of the bed and you could park you car right out front. Bed was super comfy, room was clean, had a mini fridge, tv that worked and wifi. Worked for us for the night, we would stay again if in the area

Don’t waste your money! This place is a disaster a fire trap waiting to happen along with a place that is festering disease (covid) very dirty. Not only is it dirty they have the edacity to charge peak season rates $100 a night and $20 a night for our dog which looks cleaner than the owner of this 1960s no tell motel. Never again and as I said avoid this place like the plague that your liable to catch while there!!!!! It was an adventure

Not really sure where to start. We were in Port Colburne for a wedding. We picked the Port Motel for two reasons. The first being that they had a pool, and the second was the fact that it cost much less than our other options. When we arrived, a gentleman came out of a room he was cleaning and started calling, "Room 6, room 6". I was a little surprised that he would have any idea what room we were in, but told him we had booked a second room as well and asked if he knew what room number it was. He told us room two.Our daughter headed off to room two and discovered that there were already people in it (fortunately, they were friends who were also attending the same wedding). Apparently the man thought we were our friends. Once we straightened out that misunderstanding and got the key to our room, we asked what room our daughter was in. She had originally planned on coming in a day early, but changed her mind and cancelled the first night so she could travel with us instead. The man said she hadn't cancelled (she had; I was there when she did) and that when she didn't arrive the night before, he called and left a message to see if she was coming (she was home, he did not call or leave a message). He told us he cancelled her registration at that point and said that he didn't have a room for her. When pressed further, he admitted that someone had checked out that morning and he could clean the room for her to stay in. We asked for the key in advance and told him she could change in our room we wouldn't be back until late, so he'd have plenty of time to clean the room. One would think that would be the end of it, but if one thought that, they would be wrong. The pool that was one of the main reasons we booked? Empty. (He did give us a $10 discount when we mentioned it.)We given room 28. We drove along looking for it. The numbers stopped at 14. A little more looking and we saw a small sign with an arrow pointing to a door. The sign said 14-27.Did I mention we were in room 28? We finally decided to go in an unmarked door (fortunately, our daughter went in first; she's only 5'3", so she was able to warn us to watch out for the very low hanging exit sign) and discovered a very musty hallway with a mattress and box spring up against a wall and....room 28.The pros: -both windows opened. This helped air out the room. -The a/c worked. This helped keep the air moving and not oppressively hot. -The refrigerator worked. -The tv (eventually) worked.-The room was fairly clean (other than the suspicious yellow stain on the sheets and the hair on the toilet seat). -There were no bugs. -It was quiet. -There were REAL hangers (not those stupid ones that have the little slot you hook into or those cheap wire ones, but honest to goodness real new wood hangers.) -The bed was surprisingly comfortable. (I am a self proclaimed princess when it comes to beds. Part of the reason we always stay where there is a pool is so that I can go for a swim in the morning to work out the crankiness and stiffness that comes from a sleepless night in a hard bed. Not only did I have a really good night's sleep, I didn't wake up stiff.)The cons:-Obviously, check-in was a bit of a circus, but the man checking us in was pleasant enough. -The rooms were musty and hard to find.-The exit sign was a bit of a hazard.-Only half of the safety latch was on the door.-The bathroom was in need of a bit of fixing up.-On the website, it said that there was limited room service available. The best we could figure out that meant was ordering in a pizza.-No pool (although we were given a bit of a discount.)-In the bedside table, there was a book of amenities...from the Knights Inn. I'm not sure if the Port Motel is having a bit of an identity crisis, or what's happening with that.)Overall, it was a bit of a mixed bag for us. I do think they're trying. They're just not quite there yet. Horrifyingly, it is not the worst motel I've ever stayed at. It does have its good points which is why I gave them a 3 rather than a 2. Would I stay there again? It depends. It was fine for a night to crash after a wedding, but I can't say I would stay for multiple nights at a timeWould I recommend others stay there? Again, it depends on what you are looking for. If you want cheap, clean and basic, yes. If you want more, maybe reach a little deeper into your pockets and try one of the other hotels in the area.

    does the trick

This motel was decent !We went for a night, based off location I think it was perfect, if going to Nickle beach.the room was clean and convenient fridge, microwave, AC, TV, Wifi the main necessities and a clean room Just a few draw backs..after booking found out the breakfast that should have been included due to Covid wasn't available .. i figure there should be a cost difference if that's not there but still that didn't make or break our stay If you where hoping for an ice machine... you are SOL the owner provides the ice and their discretion on amount so if you need lots of ice you will need to go an buy it but again this didn't make or break our stay for a quick stay with basic necessities this place will do the trick
