    You can do better.......

    rating02 Apr 2026

I hate negative reviews so I will be as brief and as positive as I can be. If you like 1984-1992 hotel services and amenities then ignore this review, grab your rotary phone, and call in a reservation right now, you are just the guest they are looking for!!!! Long, arduous check-in? CHECK. Somewhat clean but extremely dated rooms? CHECK. Niagra Falls Ont. is a cheesy place to begin with, this place doesn't compare to most of the other options in the area. To write this review is went from the "WIFI" they offer, to using my cell phone, again, not a big deal for some. So if you don't want a modern room, modern amenities like decent wifi and a "typical" check-in, all for the same price I might add, enjoy your stay! Comfortable 1 night stay

    rating16 Nov 2025

As IHG members we chose this hotel for our one night stay at Niagara Falls. We stayed in The Intercontinental, Toronto before travelling here. The hotels can’t be compared obviously as we paid per room here what we paid per person there! IHG are in the process of converting this to a Voco. So far it seems only a few signs have been put up.IHG status was recognised and upgrade provided, no falls views rooms left but we did have a view and appreciated the bigger room for 2 adults and a teenager. Also late check out given. The room was comfortable, decent shower and beds, coffee maker worked. It was pretty basic and tired but did the job for 1 night. No breakfast provision here but you can go to Turtle Jacks downstairs (we didn’t). Small gym and pool looked OK. Location was really good with bus outside and close to incline railway. Uber readily available. Staff were friendly and helpful. No staff uniform here which is unusual for IHG. I’m not sure this will be a Voco by the end of next year, there is literally nothing that could be kept! There is a huge amount to be done for this hotel to be of Voco standard. Amazing... no notes!

    rating25 Sept 2025

I was stunned when we walked into our room (room 1036). They had the window open and, bam! The Horseshoe fall is right there!!! Speechless. It's magnificent, no notes. The room itself is dated but clean and comfortable. The staff was nice, helpful and cute as buttons. The restaurant inside (Turtle Jacks) is fantastic. I'm so happy with our entire stay. Victoria Fallon, Guest Services / Front Office at Niagara Fallsview Hotel, responded to this review Dear cnt1248We are so happy to hear that you loved the view of the falls from your room. We also appreciate you letting us know that you found our staff to be friendly and helpful. Our entire team thanks you for your business. We hope to see you again should you be in the area.

Give it a miss until it's had its refurbishment - and be prepared for no Falls view!

    rating15 Sept 2025

So bad I didn't check in!Having had a poor night at another IHG hotel in the area, I decided to consider this one as an alternative. On calling the hotel's direct number and then selecting the reservations option, I was assured by a chirpy and helpful young lady that the conversion to a Voco was well progressed and that I'd receive all the usual amenities extended to a Diamond Elite member, including an upgrade and full breakfast. Wrong! The hotel's location is about its only selling point as far as I'm concerned, being just a few steps from the Inlcine Railway which takes you right to the centre of the all the main Niagara Parks attractions at Table Rock. Beyond that, it is clearly misnamed, as, whilst on Fallsview Boulevard, the only 'Falls view' most rooms will have is of the Marriott Falsview Hotel which is right across the street and which enjoys better views of the natural wonders of Niagara. On arrival at the property, the shoddy-looking lobby suggested this hotel was some way off its transformation and the gloomy appearance did not bode well. So, before handing over my credit card or ID, I asked to see the room. My 'upgraded' suite was dreadful, with tired and worn furnishings, peeling wallpaper, the smell of stale tobacco and a view of a parking lot rather than anything more attractive. I was also told that, in its transition to a fully branded IHG property, the hotel has no restaurant of its own and that the promised breakfast buffet did not exist! It seems this place's new owners are doing anything they can to sell the rooms, offering heavy discounts to get you through the door. It was certainly cheap, but far from cheerful and, in my opinion, best avoided. Victoria Fallon, Guest Services / Front Office at Niagara Fallsview Hotel, responded to this review Dear JohnnyboyyorkWe are truly sorry to hear of that at this time we did not meet your expectations. We do sincerely apologize for the miscommunication received at time of booking. Please know that we will soon begin to complete our renovations to become a Voco hotel with the IHG family . Everything in our public spaces and guest rooms will be brand new when renovations are complete. We do hope that you will choose to stay with us again to see all of the exciting changes we have made.
