We were very pleased, as a quick overnight during a cross-country road trip.

    rating28 Nov 2025

We were very pleased, as a quick overnight during a across-country road trip. Pet friendly, rooms with patio doors direct to outside (and to your parking spot). Free not breakfast starting at 6:30am. Fairly big (TV ~50"). Comfortable bed & sofa. Not 5-star luxary, of course, but a reasonably-priced good and comfortable road stop. Jenni Lillie, General Manager at Comfort Inn Lakeshore - North Bay, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're so glad we could provide a convenient and comfortable stop during your cross-country road trip. It’s great to hear you appreciated the pet-friendly accommodations, easy outdoor access to your room, and the early breakfast to help you get back on the road. We're also happy the room setup and amenities added to your comfort. We truly appreciate your perspective and are delighted you found us to be a good value for a road stop. Safe travels, and we’d love to welcome you (and your pet!) again anytime!

    pretty run down

    rating25 Nov 2025

couple ladies making a few bucks a few doors down from me...overall the hotel does not feel unsafe, just a bit run down,i spent some quality time in the hotel bar, which took the edge off from going to the not so pristine pool and hot tub area... lol gm_cn301, at Comfort Inn Lakeshore - North Bay, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We believe there may have been a mix-up, as our hotel does not have a bar, pool, or hot tub. It sounds like you may be referring to a different property.Thank you again for your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you under clearer circumstances in the future.

All it promised to be and more

I highly recommend Comfort Inn Lakeshore -- North Bay. Fair prices, exemplary staff, and comfortable rooms. The 'free' breakfast is the cherry on the cake. If business or family takes us to North Bay, again, it would be my first pick. Thanks to all the staff. Jenni Lillie, General Manager at Comfort Inn Lakeshore - North Bay, responded to this review Thank you for your review! I am so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! We hope to see you again next time your travels bring you to North Bay!

Clean, friendly budget hotel with comparison to BW next door

    rating14 Nov 2023

I have grown up in North Bay and since my family moved out of town, when I return I need to stay in a hotel. In general, most of the hotels in North Bay have been around a long time especially on Lakeshore Drive where there are a number of motel-hotels and others (like this one) that are hotels but only 2-3 floors high. This one has clearly been renovated and I was pleased with the hotel, the room and the staff overall. The bed was fairly comfortable with wonderful modal sheets found in other properties by this brand. The room, bed and bathrooms were all very clean and no complaints. The mini-fridge is a taller style which I appreciated. This hotel is right next door to the Best Western (which long ago used to be a Ramada). I dropped by that hotel and was shown one of their equivalent rooms to get a sense of whether I made the right choice. Here are the comparisons for you:/Bathroom - nicer overall at the Comfort Inn. Better lighting, better mirrors and ability to see back of your hair when getting ready, nicer bath and shower curtain./Clothing Storage - nicer at the Best Western as it had a closet and a dresser. At the Comfort Inn there is no closet or dresser, there is a free-standing unit that has a tall skinny cupboard where the ironing board is, a bar for hanging clothes and 1 deep drawer for storing folded items. I made this work for myself, but it's not everyone's preference./TV - quality of TV at the Comfort Inn was fine, however it sits inside a frame, so it was pretty impossible to connect anything to the HDMI input. The TV at the Best Western sits on the dresser and you can access the inputs. At the Comfort Inn there is a breakfast room with very few options. It is by no means a buffet of any kind. Front desk staff at both hotels were friendly. At the Comfort Inn, there was no bellhop, or cart (not that I noticed) to bring in your bags. I was on the main level, so I was able to park in front of my sliding door and unload directly into the room, but then you can't lock the sliding door from the outside, so when coming and going, I parked towards the front of the hotel. Jenni Lillie, General Manager at Comfort Inn Lakeshore - North Bay, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. Your feedback is most valuable and we really appreciate your insight. We are glad you had an overall enjoyable stay with us and we hope that next time you are in North Bay you stay with us again.

The room was updated so was not showing the same amount of wear & tear as another Comfort Inn we had stayed at.

    rating28 Sept 2022

So why a three star review? The dead bolt on the door did not work and as the Hotel was apparently full (as indicated in a discussion with another customer that apparently did not get the bed(s) requested so switching rooms obviously was not an option and we did not want a locksmith in our room late in the evening. The other strike against the Inn was the breakfast only having sausage as the meat selection. When I queried this in a separate review of another location Supply Chain issues were cited as the reason there was no bacon. Jenni Lillie, General Manager at Comfort Inn Lakeshore - North Bay, responded to this review Hi Art, Thank you for your feedback about your stay with us.
