Great property, with a great staff!

We have stayed at the property a number of times over the last 2 years and every visit is consistently awesome!! The full staff ranging from the front desk, cleaning crews and resteraunt are all so welcoming and accommodating, truly the best! It’s clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay! I highly recommend.

BW Barclay Hotel Port Albernigreat location, rooms are clean & comfortable, staff are great at the front desk, in the restaurant, in housekeeping friendly, helpful do a wonderful job I recommend the BW Barclay Hotel to most people I see that are looking to stay in Port Alberni whether they are there for business or pleasure or just passing through

Great Hotel, Quiet & Clean. Amazing Breakfast Option As Well As Pub/Restaurant. The Fitness Center/Gym Has Old Classic Highschool Equipment, Reminds Me Of The Golden Days In Highschool. The Gym Equipment Has Way More Options For Various Workouts Compared To Other Traditional Gyms. Super Thankful For The Great Fitness Center/Gym They Got.

Probably best hotel in town

Located close to the centre of things in Port Alberni although the Harbour Quay area is too far to walk. The Best Western is probably the best game in town, the hotel has a restaurant, bar, and liquor store on site. I was fairly impressed by the level of customer service as I was able to get a room fairly early at 2 pm. All the staff were friendly, greeted guests who passed by. The room (318) was clean, fairly spacious and the beds were comfortable. There wasn’t much noise to speak of outside. In the morning, Stamps Cafe does a good breakfast and BW offers a 20% discount when I stayed. I had a great stay overall and is the place to stay in Port Alberni.

Everything was fine til I ALMOST GOT STUCK IN THE BATHTUB

A humorous title but true. Staff in reception and dining were fine. We even managed to make the too-warm-quilts okay for our cool sleeping habits.,yes, the Tv and room amenities were fine, certainly clean as hotel rooms go, even if the bathroom is “cozy”., THE TUB IS TOO NARROW AND HAND GRIPS INADEQUATE. Perhaps the manager would like to try and ‘escape’ the tub, without assistance.
