    Lovely quiet location near the river. Excellent staff , nice pool & great hot tub . Nice breakfast options. Awesome quiet sleep . Would definitely go back again !

    Our family recently experienced a very difficult week with the unexpected passing of a loved one. Due to the circumstances, we made a last-minute trip to Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Portage la Prairie and found ourselves extending our stay in short increments as plans continued to evolve.Throughout this time, the support we received from the hotel staff was exceptional. Matthew at the front desk, in particular, went above and beyond to assist us with our accommodations—his professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help made a meaningful difference during a challenging time.We would also like to recognize the wonderful team managing the breakfast service each morning, as well as the housekeeping staff and other team members. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and accommodating, which did not go unnoticed.While there were occasional disturbances typical of a busy hotel—such as youth hockey teams and late-night activity from other guests—these were minor in comparison to the overall positive experience we had.Thank you to the entire team for your kindness and hospitality when it mattered most.

    This is our favourite hotel to go to in Portage La Prairie. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean.My only complaint is that we are picky eaters and do not eat the breakfast here. The last few times it has been wraps, eggs, salsa, bannock and typical bread choices. Lots of people enjoy it I’m sure.

    Great hotel with very good value. Very clean, great staff. We arrived at 2 am and check-in was very easy. The hot breakfast was not very good at all, but that didn't really detract from the overall experience.
