    Horrible Experience

    rating01 Sept 2025

I had a shirt lived and horrible experience with this INN. My partner was judged harshly and discriminated against and the front desk worker refused to check us in. We were forced to leave with no place else to go and we had rode all the way from Nova Scotia on a motorcycle. I've tried contacted the manager multiple with no response and still have not been reimbursed! Kelsey Houston, General Manager at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry for the frustration this situation caused. For the safety and security of all our guests, our policy requires a valid major credit card at check-in. This policy is strictly for operational and security reasons and is not related to any form of discrimination. We understand this was disappointing after a long journey, and we regret that it impacted your plans.

Dirty sheets, hair and stains on our bed.

    rating21 Aug 2025

We arrived late so were very tired after a long day and long drive. Our room was small but nice. Unfortunately when we went to go to bed we found one bed had dirty sheets, what looked to be a blood stain, hair, and some kind of dirt under the covers. I called the front desk and was told there was no room to switch us to and that she was working alone and was very new so had to check what to do. 20 minutes later still no one had shown up so i headed to the front. I met the girl halfway walking us new sheets and she did remake the bed. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there wasn;t one, to check back in the morning because she was working alone. The next morning i went early to the front to talk to the manager only to bed told sorry they were here and already gone for the day (this was before 10am)Never did get any contact with anyone and left very dissapointed in our experience. The girl working was very pleasant but not helpful in addressing my concerns. Kelsey Houston, General Manager at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown, responded to this review We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and the issues you encountered with your room. This is not the standard we aim to provide. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the bedding and the lack of timely support from our staff. While we’re glad you found the front desk staff pleasant, we understand that your concerns were not properly addressed, and we regret the inconvenience and frustration this caused after your long day.

    Excellent & Indeed Best-Value Stay!

    rating18 Aug 2025

I stayed at Canada’s Best Value Inn Charlottetown and I have to say, the name really does fit. Before booking, I actively compared hotel prices across Charlottetown, and this property was clearly the best offer in town. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The staff here are exceptionally warm and genuinely seem happy to have you. A special shoutout to the cookie and coffee station in the lobby (what a nice touch, if not kind to my thighs!). Pair that with the above average breakfast included each morning with much more than a continental offering and including local bakery items, and it really added up to excellent value for the price. It is a tight space, and likely is busy during peak hours, but they have extended hours compared to the hotels I looked at, and I am an early riser so was never an issue for me. The furniture and finishing are worn and on the more dated and economical side compared to some other hotels. But honestly, that felt like a fair trade-off, especially considering how much more thoughtful the experience was compared to pricier options that cut corners. I'd really rather my dollars be saved and what I do spend put into the experience rather than an expensive dresser I'll put my phone on for a night and forget about the next day. This place really lives up to its commitment to value, giving guests the essentials done right, without unnecessary frills. If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean and welcoming stay in Charlottetown at a great value proposition, I’d absolutely recommend them. I know I’ll be back. Kelsey Houston, General Manager at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown, responded to this review Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you found our property to be the best value in Charlottetown and that you felt so warmly welcomed by our staff. It’s wonderful to know that the cookie and coffee station, breakfast offerings, and overall thoughtful touches added to your experience. We appreciate your understanding regarding the furniture and finishes—we aim to focus on comfort, cleanliness, and a friendly experience over unnecessary frills, and it’s great to hear that resonated with you. Your recommendation means a lot, and we can’t wait to welcome you back on your next visit to Charlottetown!

    Yarkkkkk!

    rating11 Aug 2025

Just because we did not want to spend over $300 for one night, we thought we could do it on the outskirt of downtown for less. At first, it looked good, until we walked into the room. The place was very damp even with the A/C on. The smell of mold and mildew in the bathroom was bad. Even the carpet in the bedroom was wet here and there. The water temperature was not constant. Breakfast was good although. Overall, we were glad to spend less money for one night, but won’t go back. Kelsey Houston, General Manager at Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Charlottetown, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with humidity during your stay. During your visit, we were in the middle of a record-setting spell of heat and humidity, which can have a noticeable impact on exterior-entry rooms as they are more exposed to outdoor conditions. Guest comfort is important to us, so all of our rooms are equipped with PTAC units (the wall-mounted heating and cooling systems) which can normally help mitigate a certain level of humidity, but in extreme weather it can still be challenging to keep the moisture level fully under control. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the breakfast, and we appreciate you giving us a try even if we didn’t meet all of your expectations this time.
