  This hotel is okay at the best of times and a bit dated. The first issue was that our rooms had been given away, even though we had prepaid for them. It took some effort but they did manage to find other rooms for us, but not before they claimed we did not have any reservations (we provided the confirmation number and confirmed twice before arrival). The second issue was the noise. The hallways were loud and people felt the need to have conversations well beyond midnight that were disruptive. Our room was fair, but we had to settle with two double beds instead of the king we had booked. The water pressure was good and the room was clean. The breakfast book in the morning was small and crowded. I don’t think I will return to this hotel again and would like to try another one in hopes of having a better experience.

  They spoke English!

  It was the usual Comfort Inn, but the desk clerk was really helpful and spoke English! I beleive Louiselle(sp) was her name. She recommended a steak house just down the road and it was good as well. It was a little noisy, but overall a good place to stay.

  The staff were, again, excellent dealing with some serious noise issues from large groups of people over a two day period. When we had finally had enough of parents drinking and yelling in the stair wells adjacent to our rooms (we were there for a family funeral and drove 26 hours eventually there and back again) and groups of their children playing hockey for hours and hours. I love hockey, but the hallway of a Comfort Inn is not the place to practice from mid-morning to late at night for 2 days straight. There were a lot of other people there just traveling, trying to enjoy their stay, and trying to get some rest. We left exhaused and frustrated that none of this seemed to be on security's radar and that the front desk staff, as wonderful and as busy as they were, were unaware of this matter. At 10 minutes to 11 p.m. on our last night, with a 13 hour drive in front of us and a Winter storm in our path pretty much all the way home, we were minutes away from checking out and moving on to another hotel in Thetford Mines when things finally settled down. Thank you to the staff, but it's difficult for us imagine us ever staying at another Comfort Inn again.   Worked out well albeit a lengthy ride along sidewalks after exiting primary snowmobile trail.

  Pros - Would return : ) ....Thanks to the kind & thoughtful staff. I would have rated it excellent if it had an onsite restaurant. All rates are in full consideration of what was offered in return for the expense of staying there. In the end I am of the opinion it is fairly priced.1) The receptionist Natalie and all her colleagues were a pleasure to interact with from our first phone call to our exit. 2) As an added bonus they each spoke fluent English. 3) Rooms were clean, 4) Tremendous water pressure with extremely HOT water, 5) Independent heating / cooling6) Ground floor room was provided so were capable of parking the sleds outside the sliding glass doors which also afforded easy access to load / unpack sleds. 7) Free wifi, easy accessible vending machines "with" alcohol option, ...8) Free Hot Buffet breakfast - Eggs & sausage were scary looking however the pastries, & waffles were great & a juice machine with a variety of flavors made it easy to wash the breakfast down. They also offered a variety of cereals & breads.9) Restaurants / bars within a 10 minute walk. 10) During our visit there were a number of young unsupervised partying hockey players staying and the staff did a wonderful job running an orderly establishment. Cons- 1) Access from the snowmobile trail to the hotel would have been difficult had we not made a waypoint using our GPS. Unfortunately you must traverses several fairly long lengths of sidewalks / intersections / parking lots and cross a four lane road after exiting the primary trail. Albeit the sidewalk is considered part of the trail there is minimal if any signage directing you to the hotel after exiting the primary trail outside the city.2) No onsite restaurant / bar but a variety within a ten minute walk.   Arrived late but still a friendly welcome at reception. Directed us to a nice still open restaurant. Hotel good and clean. Drawback was the lack of a lift (elevator) but generally acceptable.Breakfast was normal American style but sufficient.
