    Fantastic Christmas Stay

    We spent Christmas here and so happy we did. The hotel made everything so festive . Traveled with two young kids ages five and seven. The hotel had so many activities planned for the Christmas holiday. They even had the parents arranged to drop off presents so that Santa could hand them out at Christmas dinner. The rooms were well appointed and clean. Beautiful views of the snow covered lake. Great sized bathroom with shower and separate tub .we booked one of the PH suites . Parking was easily available even though the hotel was quite busy. Location is fantastic. It was just about a 20 minute drive to old Quebec. We took daily walks over the lake and enjoyed the beautiful views and fresh crisp air. They also offered ice-skating. The property was lovely. Breakfast was great. Only complaint was a dinner. The Christmas prefix dinner was not very enjoyable. We barely ate that anything that night . And as a result of our experience with the Christmas dinner we chose not to eat dinner at the hotel on the other nights we were there. Would definitely return though . And we also did dog sledding just down the road few minutes from the property and it was amazing.

    Second stay just as great

    This is our second time at the resort and our first time in the summer. This stay was just as good as our first. We once again booked a Classic Suite with a lake view. For two people, this room is more than enough! Seriously… the rooms are pretty large and there is a lot of storage space!We didn’t eat at the restaurants as we didn’t see anything we liked, the prices are a bit much and we weren’t fans of the breakfast menu the first time we visited this restaurant. That said, if you do plan to eat here… book in advance!! There are some restaurants near by like Archibald, Chez Boub and a little further away you have a couple of fast food options and a IGA grocery store. Was there anything we didn’t like? Hm maybe more nitpicky but nothing that really affected our stay. We found the shower floor was pretty slippery, thankfully no one was hurt. Parts of the room did show some wear and tear like a ripped screen and some pretty big dings on the wall but again nothing that bothered us. We were a week or two before school started, so there was a lot of kids… which is absolutely fine and none of it bothered us. Just be aware if you’re there for a romantic trip. The bed and pillows aren’t great but we did get some sleep!As for the TV? Yeah it’s an old HDTV with no smart features. You can bring a streaming device as the inputs are on the side and outlet is under the TV shelf. You could also bring an HDMI cable that can plug into your phone/or tablet. We used an HDMI to USB C cable to our iPad but never ended up using it because we were didn’t use the TV that often and when we did there was tons of channels to choose from in English or French. All in all definitely recommend and we will stay here again.     A fantastic hotel and venue for leasure or business. Great location by the lake, good service, clean and comfortable rooms. They have a restaurant in the hotel and a nice terrace. This time of the year, it's particularly beautiful when the sun is out.     Good but needs some attention to the mechanics (lighting and thermostat).

    Room was large and clean. We had 2 bedroom/ 2 bath Suite. However, lighting was sparse. Daylight was fine but nighttime was very little light. Also, we couldn’t adjust the temperature in the room. It was extremely hot. Multiple people tried to adjust the temperature but to no avail. Bedroom was stifling. Hard to sleep it was so warm. Front desk staff was excellent. They tried to help with any situation. I believe with some internal adjustments (mechanical) this hotel will be excellent.
