  This simple hotel is located in a very quiet area of La Malbaie. Simple and flawless cleanliness of the room and common area. The bed was also very confortable.Excellent service: all the staff is very pleasant and professional. I am highly recommending this hotel

  A basically good clean hotel

  We arrived from the Charlevoix Train ride from Quebec. Took a taxi about $6 for about 3 minutes from the station. So carrying bags would not be worth the walk. Hotel sits on a hill top overlooking the trees and the bay. Our evening front desk Concierge was not well versed in English making it difficult to understand. So how we got thru the communications was with repeated questions and answers. Our room were roomy and clean and we had very good view of the city, bay and trees.We stay for 2 days, did some sight seeing, visited the local museum and went to dinner at 2 great restaurants.The Hotel's Continental breakfast was self serve with your basic coffee, juices and pastries, etc., Very So So. All and all, there wasn't anything spectacular about this hotel....It was a basic traveler's type lodge, good and clean, nothing more.

  Basic hotel. Beds are rather small and short. Nice swimming pool in the garden with free towels, chairs and cushions. Breakfast was very basic and with a full hotel, there was not enough room to sit. Large parking area at the hotel.

  The hotel is located at Pointe-au-Pic, which is a very convenient location relative to Tadoussac and Saguenay and just a few steps from the river. The room I was in was large and had good WiFi, good water pressure in the shower, and a fridge (but no microwave, and the windows are sealed shut/cannot be opened). The small desk (on top of which sat a coffee machine and 2 coffee pods) and the armchair were nice additions. A chest of drawers was also available and doubled as a TV stand. The en-suite bathroom was spacious and very clean. Toiletries included shampoo, two cotton pads and ear swabs, a shower cap, and a small square of bar soap (no body lotion or hair conditioner or shower gel). There is an extra blanket, as well as a mini ironing table and an iron available in the room if you need it. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court on the grounds (but these are only open from June until the fall, as there is still snow in this part of the region well into late spring). The best aspect of this establishment is its customer service, which is always delivered with a smile and a good attitude.The "continental breakfast" was pretty basic and low on variety: lukewarm coffee, hot water and an assortment of teas, yogurt, boiled eggs, cretons (pork-lard mix popular in Quebec), milk, 3 types of cereal, supermaket-variety croissants, bagels, bread (toasters provided), baked beans, and an assorted mix of mini peanut butters, raspberry jams, strawberry jams, butter, whipped Kraft yellow cheese, and Philadelphia cream cheese. The exact same breakfast was served every single day. Also, in terms of privacy, some rooms face the parking lot, so if this might bother you, be sure to ask for a room facing away from the parking lot. The hotel has 2 levels, so if you have a preference, be sure to specify whether you wish to be on the ground floor or on the top (2nd) floor.Overall, considering the value provided relative to the low cost of the room (under $100/night, booked in April) this hotel provided great value for money.

  The hotel is very clean, nice and very well located. The service is great, the staff is always smiling and very helpful. The room was big and clean. The windows don't open so we had to turn on the AC and it's very noisy. We would have preferred some fresh air since it wasn't that cold outside but it was hot in the room so we needed the AC. It was somewhat difficult to sleep cause the AC kept turning off and on and when it turns on it made a loud noise which woke me up a lot during the night. Overall, it a good hotel apart from the noisy AC and the windows that don't open. By the way breakfast was included. It was a continental breakfast, very basic.
