Superb, high value stay for groups, couples and families.

    rating07 Mar 2026

The Hotel Chateau Laurier is simply superb and a good value. We just stayed here for the 10th-15th time for a nearly annual cross-country ski trip for a group of 16. The hotel was very easy to work with and gave us a good rate, especially given the high standard of the rooms and facilities. Especially good are the amenities and services ranging from the pool/suana/health club to the convenience store to the on-site breakfast and the wine dispensing machines. Clément Grand Moursel, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Chateau Laurier Quebec, responded to this review Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to welcome your group year after year and to know that you continue to enjoy the quality of our rooms, facilities and services. It’s a pleasure to offer you a comfortable stay, whether it’s for skiing or any other occasion. We’re especially glad that our amenities, from the pool, sauna and health club to the convenience store, breakfast options and wine dispensers, helped make your visit even more enjoyable. We look forward to welcoming you and your group again on your next trip to Québec!

    Terrible Restaruant!!! One star!!!

    rating13 Feb 2026

Room was good. Hotel staff was great. The review is about the restaurant brunch. This was a comedy of errors to be polite. We had reservations, the rush was over.Waited for service. Got coffee and had to get sugar and cream from the table next door as it wasn't offered to us.Brunch order A - was cold. Order B - was not correct or complete. We sent them back. Ten minutes after we sent them back, the toast arrived for Order B and was cold. Coffee cups were empty for 10 minutes at this point. Finally, a second order of toast arrived, but the food was still being prepared for the second time. Toast was accepted (we were hungry). Finally signalled the server for coffee. Finally the 'second' order arrived. Order B was correct. Order A was just microwaved and brought back to the table (obvious because the same 4 burnt potatoes were still at the edge of the pile where I put them). Lettuce on both orders was plain and dry with no dressing at all. Just lettuce. Again, coffee cups were sitting empty for several minutes. This was a terribly disappointing experience at the restaurant of a "Five Star" hotel. Both kitchen and staff. Terrible. Clément Grand Moursel, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Chateau Laurier Quebec, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are sorry to learn that your brunch experience did not meet your expectations. We are, however, pleased to know that you enjoyed your room and the service provided by our hotel team.We would like to clarify that the restaurant where you had brunch is independently operated and is not managed by our hotel. We understand the possible confusion, as it is located within the hotel. We will forward your comments to the management team of St-Hubert so they may take note of them. For a future stay, please know that we have a list of partner restaurants featuring excellent dining options, and we would be delighted to recommend them to ensure a culinary experience that meets your expectations. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon.Best Regards,

Nice, but EXTREMELY noisy if there’s an event in a ballroom

    rating02 Jan 2026

Good location, nice amenities (hot tub, sauna, pool, showers, convenience store).BUT one night there was a party in the ballroom area. The music was so loud that you could literally feel the beat on the floors in rooms on the 2nd floor. I wasn’t the only one bothered. Other guests noticed the noise too. One called the front desk and was told that the party would end at 1 am, and someone would be asking them to turn the music down. This was right before midnight. 20 minutes later, the volume was unchanged. The music finally got quieter around 1 am. Clément Grand Moursel, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Chateau Laurier Quebec, responded to this review Bonjour, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our location and amenities. We understand that the noise from the ballroom event during the holiday season may have impacted your stay, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. During this festive period, some events can be more lively, and we always strive to manage the volume to minimize any disruption for our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under quieter conditions and provide you with a fully enjoyable stay.Best regards,

Perfect location for sightseeing - walkable to everywhere you want to go!

    rating01 Jan 2026

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of December in a superior room with 1 king bed. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. Our room was immaculate and the sheets and towels smelled very fresh. We checked in around 10:30 PM on a Saturday night, and the woman who checked us in was super friendly. This hotel is located in a very convenient area and we walked to everything that we wanted to see and do. It’s right next to the Plains of Abraham and there are numerous restaurants within a block of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and when we come back, this is where we will stay. Best location for all attractions!

A charming historic hotel located right in the heart of Old Quebec City, offering all the necessary amenities. It’s within walking distance of major attractions, and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The rooms, including the beds, are a bit on the smaller side, but overall it’s a pleasant stay with friendly service. Highly recommended!
