Facility

The hotel has 404 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 30 storeys and are reachable by 5 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock.     We booked a prestige room + the Hope Suite + 2bedroom suite + valet parking. Arrival was OK, rooms were ready! However in each room, especially the Hope Suite (1820), we were scared to touch anything like broken washroom door, broken sink handle, unplugged heating systems, broken end table, missing dead bolt..bolt and broken step to go on the balcony, missing towels at the pool, etc. This being said, the staff was polite, understanding and welcoming. Hoepfully such a unique hotel right at the door of Old Quebec will take some time to bring itself back to its previous high quality level!

    After trying to do things privately I’ve yet a response from Hôtel Le Concorde Québec. Le Concorde has been our go to for the past decade with September 2025 being our sixth stay. As follows is a partial copy of the email I sent without response. (Private info excluded) Dear sir or ma’am; I am writing to formally express our unfortunate dissatisfaction with our recent stay at Hôtel Le Concorde from twentieth September to the twenty sixth, room #1027 under reservation of my spouse ———. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet the standards that we’ve experienced on any of our last visits and I am seeking resolution for the issues encountered.During our stay, we have experienced the following problems and will start with the Room Condition; - [ ] Blood on bathroom floor- [ ] Random fowl smell- [ ] Issue with door entry and at end of stay all 4 keys not working- [ ] Small ceiling leak one foot in from window, living room- [ ] Last night stay, found half gallon water on floor next to bed. - [ ] Lamp light had no knob and only way to turn off was either unscrew bulb or unplug from outlet. - [ ] Black Mold all over bathroom ceiling - [ ] Bathroom air vent clogged.- [ ] Many scuffs on walls and doors- [ ] No outlets accessible around beds and wife unable to use CPAP- [ ] No pictures on walls and only one in bathroom damaged- [ ] Jr Suit should have at minimum kitchenette with microwave and a second chair to relax.Property Conditions - [ ] Everything is dated and tired- [ ] Hallway carpets and wallpaper fraying, very dark, lamp shades dirty and some with holes- [ ] Trash and cigarette butts- [ ] Graffiti on building- [ ] All 4 elevators have broken floor tiles, dirty mirrors and one elevator you have to open door and close door while pushing floor number as it beeps at you and then starts. - [ ] All flower beds around property were overgrown with weeds and unappealing. Though I do understand upon our arrival the Union strike had just ended the previous day but these conditions are far beyond employee issues but rather attention to detail by management and or funding. That said, we have noticed a year over year decline for the last three years and drastically the past year. These issues significantly impacted our stay, sadly because we have always praised this once gem that gave us many memorable experiences. I am bringing these concerns to your attention in hopes that issues will be addressed and we can further our stays for what’s become an annual trip. I’d appreciate a resolution, e.g., what seems fair, a partial refund, a complimentary stay, or other compensation. I believe this is reasonable given the level of discomfort with such low standards at Hôtel Le Concorde. I look forward to a response to discuss a resolution.     Pros:- Excellent Location: close to great food options, popular historical sites, walking distance to Old Quebec.- Great Views: Higher floor rooms provide great lookouts during day and night + upper restaurant* provides best view- Great on-site Brunch/food options(s): Restaurant in lobby had a stellar breakfast (not included as part of our stay, but well worth the extra dough). Tower restaurant* provides a unique and renowned option for food- Staff were very friendly (We’re English speakers and experienced no issues)***We didn’t experience the rotating tower restaurant during our stayCons:- Parking can be tricky: Tight Underground situation that can fill quickly ($25/day).- King Suite was smaller, felt very plain/sterile setting, bathroom was OK- Strange door that opened another door to the next room; could hear next room and was a little unsettling to hear the other person door open occasionally…- … Similarly, there was a small cubby hole sized panel that opened up in the shower.

    It's a hotel with a good location, but imagine that , you return to your room after a whole day of activities and it's not clean, because the maids are on strike!!!!And the breakfast is terrible!
