    Manager refuses to close hallway door to noisy conference room before 11 PM

    I am in a room that is near the conference center. It’s 10:15 pm and the music is blasting. It would help to close the door at the end of the hallway but the staff are not allowed to do this. I asked the person at the front desk why and she could not explain beyond “my boss will not allow this.” According to her, we have to wait for him to arrive at 11:00 pm to close the door. I will not be staying here for work trips again.

    I paid 255$ for one night and I regret my choice. Arrived at 16:20 (20 mins after check in) no rooms were ready, the lobby was packed with people waiting for their room.We were told the hotel was sould out and that's why they dont have rooms ready (check out is at 11h by the way...)Came back a 11:30 pm to get my keys and get to my room. I did not enjoy the vibe of the fron desk person. She was a bit rude or maybe she was having a bad day. Got into the room, it's big, and ok clean. The bathroom door had a tons of fingerprints and marks, and REALLY need a repainting. I found some desinfectant? marks on the wall. It felt old and not taken cared of.I got into a battle with the shampoo and soap bottle as they are VERY hard to empty and use, and the quantity are so LITTLE. The fridge is working, but looks old. As a travel professional, I would not suggest this hotel if you can find something else. It does the job, but for 250$ a night? NOPE

    Failure to Honor Guaranteed Check-In Time – Poor Customer Service

    I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Despite their guarantee of room availability between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, they failed to honor it. Even by 5:30 PM, my room was still not ready, and I only received it after 9:00 PM. This caused major logistical issues for my stay and completely disrupted my plans.Moreover, the hotel staff were neither courteous nor attentive. They showed no willingness to help or offer any solution. When I attempted to formally file a complaint, the front desk receptionist bluntly refused, saying, "That's not my job."Since then, the hotel has been ignoring all my messages and has refused any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused. Overall, the lack of professionalism and respect for guests is unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here.

    Timing is Everything

    We were horrified at the length of the line-ups at check in. The reason, we discovered, was that there was a conference in the adjacent building and it was conference attendees who were arriving at the same time as us. This augured badly but in fact the only other time that we were negatively affected was at breakfast.We stayed in a junior suite which was a huge 750 square foot room. It included a kitchenette which was poorly equipped; there was little more than a microwave. Not even any sugar to go with the provided coffee. It was quiet.Dinner was outstandingly good. Thankfully the conference attendees were eating elsewhere and the quality of the dishes and charm of the service exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was another story. We were driven away by the noise and crowds from the conference. Returning later, the crowds were more tolerable but the rather mundane buffet had been well picked over.Parking was good and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. All in all, Le Victorin is a very good hotel but we would not have stayed there had we known about the conference,

    Date: Stayed for one night on September 4th, 2022.Property: Situated at 19 Arthabaska East Blvd., the Hotel has 142 rooms & 10 suites on five floors with an elevator. Room Type: A King Bed Junior Suite, 5th Floor, Connecting Rooms, Suite No Smoking, with Sofa. Pros: Situated in central Victoriaville, with fitness centre, free Wi-fi, parking, indoor pool, spa, restaurant and exterior terrace and bar. Large junior suite with TV viewing area, has good bedding & mattress, and a kitchenette area. Using the elevator, we did not have to carry our luggage up and down any stairs. Next morning, we enjoyed the continental breakfast buffet.Cons: Did not use amenities such as indoor pool, and spa. Cleanliness: Very GoodStaff: friendly & courteousRating: We do recommend it, giving it a rating of 4.0.
