Location

The hotel occupies the ancient wings of the former Hôtel-Dieu de Québec monastery (1639), site of North America’s first hospital north of Mexico. Sensitively restored, it offers a unique cultural and wellness experience, and many imaginative ways to connect with the Augustinian Sisters’s heritage, all within a secular environment: experiential accommodation in the former cloister of the 17th century, museum, archive centre, program and specialized services in holistic health, restaurant, boutique, etc.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided to guests. Guests can learn more about excursions at the tour desk. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     Weekend getaway with my 14 YO daughter

    The property is so amazing and historically preserved and the room was very comfortable. Tour the museum, skip the buffet dinner unless vegan and willing to spend a lot on a buffet, the breakfast tho is very good. It is completely worth your travel dollar and experience. Rue St Jean is steps away giving access to amazing food, scenery and shops.

    I highly recommend staying at this unique lodging in the heart of Quebec City. It offers the best of two worlds: being steps away from the hubbub of city life with the solitude to recharge in a tranquil setting. Charming room, generous buffet, and being part of an important mission.

    Le Monastere is an absolute gem. This is more than a hotel - it’s a museum, a wellness retreat, and just a wonderful, care-full space. It's a peaceful santuary in the heart of Old Quebec - perfect location for walking to all of the main attractions in the city.
