    Adequate but not spectacular.

    We were returning from the Maritimes and decided to stay near the highway. This hotel is in a convenient location, with easy access to Highway 20. The staff is very friendly, with our limited French. And the pool was warm and delightful after a long day on the road. The hot breakfast was good. But the hotel itself was just so-so. The room was adequate but needed some updating and a more thorough cleaning. The hall carpets were worn and needed replacing. A little sprucing up would make this hotel more appealing.

    Friendly Place but needs a refresher

    From the exterior you would think that it would get you a good feeling about the interior. Well not so fast. Lets start with the obvious, friendly staff and the location was clean. No this is where we will have to diverse. Interior of the rooms are retro 1980's. First you could not set the temperature in the room properly, old thermostat which gave you a choice of very warm or Luke warm. The fridge in the room was old and not working. The fan in the bathroom was the old timer switches. Now the finally, the doors do not quite shut even with the deadbolt, so every time somebody opens their door on your floor you door will move, this for us went on till midnight. This was my own experience, some of you will disagree, but if an update was done in the interior I think I would think of stopping there again

    A very welcoming hotel

    This was a stop on a cross-Canada road trip from Calgary to St. John’s. This hotel was our favourite of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our trip. All the front desk staff were spectacularly friendly and helpful.The rooms were spacious and had washrooms that were large. The sinks were external to the toilet and shower area. Multiple mirrors in the room. Very comfortable beds.

    Room was small and dated but serviceable and clean as a place to lay your head on a long trip. Carpets show wear of winter visitors. Pool was ok for our visit. Breakfast hostess kept track of room numbers for breakfast. Gas station seems to share parking area. Other than a St Hubert’s no food close.

    Staff was very helpful and friendly. A small problem with the condition of the room when we arrived was resolved immediately to our satisfaction. The saltwater pool was a highlight. The breakfast room attendant took great care of us.
