  don’t stand behind their policies at all

  well, I booked six rooms and when I booked the rooms, the web site said it was pet friendly Then I find out that it’s not pet friendly and they don’t honor that but it’s on their website saying it is I asked to speak to a manager, no managers ever called me back to this I booked these rooms because I had lots of people coming for my 65th birthday party which I had all planned out Book the rooms way in advance Only to find out they’re not gonna honor the pet friendly, but their website says pet friendly many places I think that’s very unprofessional and very unfair And when I asked to speak to a manager, no one even calls me back or even cares to call back I’ve called there four times. I’ve got the runaround every single time. If they’re not pet friendly, then take it off your website To this day, it still says it’s pet friendly and many different websites I think they should honor what the website says they ruined my birthday and now I have to start all over again and find another place to stay for 10 people So I’m going to rent an Airbnb and I’m never going to give this hotel any business ever very unprofessional Thanks for ruining my birthday and not standing behind your policy.   I'm sorry but I just tryed getting a room for the night but the girl that was working the desk was very suspicious and taking pics of my info on the screen and talking a notherv language I didn't know and being very suspicious about it so I videoed her and when I talked to her she denied it at first then she sead she was new but if you that new wouldn't you have a supervisor with you to watch you Best Western chateau Inn, Guest Services / Front Office at Best Western Plus Chateau Inn Sylvan Lake, responded to this review Hello Trevor, We apologize for your experience and not meeting your expectations.   No pool working, no coffee

  The pool and hot tub are down for maintenance meaning they are cutting costs here. What’s the point of a hotel with 3 kids if the pool doesn’t work. That’s the whole reason we stay at hotels that advertise pools. Also you cannot check in until 4pm or you have to pay extra. Then there is a huge line at 4pm that took 40 mins to get through. None of the rooms have coffee makers. Another cost cutting measure. The staff just don’t care about any of these issues. Why would they, their management clearly doesn’t. They should deeply discount their rooms in the off season if they can’t even afford to operate the pool. The view and location are great if you get the right room. So if you come for that with no other expectations you’ll enjoy. I care way too much about my money and experience to ever spend it here again.   I was recently an invited speaker at a 3.5-day conference hosted at the Best Western Chateau Inn in Sylvan Lake, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Zona (the owner) and her team created such a warm, welcoming environment for our group. The conference room was comfortable and well-prepared for full days of meetings, and my guest room was cozy, spotless, and restful after long days. Zona’s hospitality and attention to detail made all the difference—she and her staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. I left feeling both refreshed and grateful. Highly recommend this hotel for conferences, events, or personal stays!

  Not worth it for the price.1.No shower gel and when I complained was told that the cleaners can't tell how much is there. Suggestion - use transparent bottles.2. Say they are pet friendly - not. They charge you $40 per night extra and don't have a pet relief area. Other pet friendly hotels have given us a bag of treats etc.3. No USB ports in the bedroom.4. We were there for a wedding for which arrangements had been made. Checked in at 2:15 and were charged an extra $30 fee for 1 3/4 hours even though we told them we were there for the wedding and needed to get dressed.5. Breakfast a disaster - one of the poorest I have ever seen. Old fashioned waffle maker where you have to measure out the mixture and twist and turn vs the new pancake ones where you just hit a button and request one or two. Ran out of the orange juice - I got, but none left for my husband 15 minutes later. Ran out of hash browns - same situation. No decaf coffee.Ran out of brown bread. And it was not even busy. Only meat was sausages. Couldn't find fresh fruit. Very much bare bones.6. Pleasant staff and clean room with lots of towels. Liked the fridge and microwave.
