    We had a great stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

    We were very disappointed in this hotel. Booking last minute (2 days in advance) for 2 rooms, we booked direct with the hotel in Red Deer. Rooms were nothing special but we knew this when booking, we went with this location because we had 3 children in our group and were willing to spend the extra money because of the pool and waterslide. Shortly after arrival we found out the water slide was out of service and had been that way for a week. The jets in the hot tub were also not working. We had to go and request towels for the pool as there were none available. They brought 6 towels to the pool area even though there were over 12 people in the pool area at the time. I spoke with the duty manager and told him I had wished I was told about the waterslide in advance as I would have booked at a less expensive hotel. He assured me everyone was being told in advance. I personally booked so knew this was not true, while watching the children in the pool I met several other people who also booked because of the pool and waterslide, none had been informed the waterslide was inoperable. I feel this hotel made misleading promises and overcharged for services provided. The duty manager could have really cared less that I felt cheated. Every business experiences issues, how they are handled sets them apart. We are Wyndham Rewards members and usually stay at their locations when possible, but our next trip to Red Deer we will book anywhere but Microtel.     Good for a short stay

    Hotel is a little dated. Clean. Decent breakfast in the morning. Good selection of foods. Lots of places close by to eat as well. There was a bunch of kids hockey teams there at the same time and those guest were very loud and the hotel did not seem to care about the other guests in the hotel. They were running up and down the hallways until late.     The staff and pool area were great. Location is fantastic for a crew that is travelling for out of town work (great parking for trucks and trailers, close to restaurants and groceries). The bedding in one of the rooms smelled old and musty, so perhaps that room hadn't been used in a long time. Overall a good stop for a crew traveling through town.
