Pool is out of service, was not notified.

    rating23 Oct 2025

Would be nice if they let you know the pool is out of service when booking! It's the main reason I chose this place. My kids were very disappointed and so was I.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    rating14 Nov 2023

The front desk receptionist is absolutely horrible at her job, has no insight into any policies of the hotel. Has no insights into making stays comfortable to patrons. Every hotel I've ever stayed at has been more than accommodating to night shift workers, and usually have no issue changing the check out time to represent sleeping during the day. (This is my first encounter of that ever being a problem). The receptionist clearly had no interest in solving the issue SHE CAUSED. I called ahead to make sure being on nights was not a problem and they said it was fine. So she tells me I can't check in, after I already paid. Refusing to give me a refund. The name on the Cc is in my wife's name with authorization for me to use it. I had a letter from the bank I bring just in case. After all this she still refused to check me in, after payment accepted. Finally asked for a refund and she held onto my Cc for a good solid minute before I took it back and walked out. I hope you feel so mighty and powerful running check ins at your crummy job, you miserable sad excuse for a human. Cheers!

Staff willing to go above and beyond

    rating27 May 2023

Our organization had our biannual assembly (sort of like a conference) here for the first time. The hotel and restaurant staff were wonderfully accommodating and met all my needs during our 3 day, 2 night stay. The price was very reasonable and the rooms are clean and comfortable. They staff are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. I hope our organization continues to use this venue. I would highly recommend this hotel to others for any length of stay.

Incomparably poor on every possible level

    rating14 Nov 2022

I would give this a zero rating if it was an option. I've stayed in some bad places all over the world, but this definitely makes the top 5 - maybe even the top 3. I was greeted (eventually) by the front desk staff upon arrival and promptly asked if I had any mobility issues. When I asked why, I was informed that the elevator was broken (apparently has been for some time) and the rooms on the lower floors were being held for those with such difficulties. Of course, I took an upper room. (Despite that, others attending the same conference who DID have mobility issues were NOT placed on the 1st floor.) After carting my luggage up 3 flights of stairs and through smelly, hot hallways to get to my "newer room" I was greeted by the smell of stale cigarette smoke (despite it being non-smoking). The beds had filthy quilts rather than bedding that could be regularly washed. Over half of the towels were stained and/or threadbare and the bath towels were nearly the size of hand towels. The toilet ran non-stop and was dark due to the bulbs not all working. There were two, oddly mismatched, bottles of conditioner for my use - but no shampoo. There was a pool and a hot tub - but they had no water in them. So, no pool or hot tub.Oh, and the "Croffle House" restaurant. The chef will only cook "off the menu" and not just sides. You MUST apparently order what the chef feels you should eat, even if the items would need to be individually cooked to make up what I was "allowed" to order. When I addressed this with the server, I was told that it was an ongoing bone of contention between servers and the chef, but that there would be snacks and things in the conference room. For someone on a restricted diet, this was not a solution. I addressed this with the front desk, but was told to try again later. Onward to the "conference centre", which was a smelly, cold bar (I believe it was called "Wild Bill's") that had the entrance doors blackened out with paint and advertising on the walls for its alternate use - a laser tag facility. That made sense, given the lingering smell reminiscent of a hockey change room, but did nothing to explain the smell of sewage...Everyone needs a "worst stay ever" story. This is certainly one of mine.
