Cesspool of filth and bodily fluids

What an absolute dump ! Disgusting , stomach turning , cesspool of filth would be the first words that you would use to describe this barn. We had three rooms booked , and each room had varying degrees of blood stains, stench and broken/damaged items in the room. People trying to get into your room from parking lot at all times of the day or night, so that was less than relaxing. Our bad for not checking the reviews in our haste to secure rooms for our group under short notice.

Dirty. Blood stained mattress with urine stains. And a bug in sheets that definitely hadn’t been changed. Homeless outside the front door. People hanging in the hallway. Location ok. But not worth the discounted price. Asked for my money back. And found somewhere else to go for the night. DO NOT BOOK! Staff was ok.

The worst place to stay - at 3 am someone smashed a window right beside us- reported to front desk and when we left it still wasn't cleaned up. Breakfast was a frozen egg muffin -gross. I phoned and emailed about 10 times and not one response back. Terrible cleintelle around hotel - scary.

Upon check in, we were told elevator was out of order, so showed us 2 rooms on ground floor. First one had terrible odour. We opened window to air out the room, but no screen on window. We were nervous about that as there were some sketchy characters hanging around outside. Next one wasn’t much better, but we took it. There were holes in the walls. Bathroom vanity had sticky substance on it. Bathtub was black! No way I was stepping in that! Breakfast was provided…you had to ask for it at front desk. It consisted of a piece of strong garlic toast with a teensy pice of cheese on it, and maybe a teensy bit of sliced ham. Worst place I’ve been in many years.

We booked two rooms for four nights at the Colonial Inn in Saskatoon for our employees. Upon arrival, they found the rooms to be in unacceptable condition.The bedding had visible staining, the bathroom (including the tub) was not properly cleaned, and the overall condition of the rooms did not meet basic cleanliness standards. Based on this, they made the decision not to stay and immediately raised their concerns.Hotel staff showed them a few rooms, but the condition was consistent and did not resolve the issue. They did not stay overnight and left the property.When we followed up for a refund, we were initially told to go through Expedia. Expedia then contacted the hotel, who ultimately refused a full refund and only offered 50%, despite the rooms not being used.We’ve included photos of what was found upon arrival so others can make an informed decision.Very disappointing experience and not what you expect when booking accommodations for staff.
