  Terrible hotel

  We booked two rooms for four nights at the Colonial Inn in Saskatoon for our employees. Upon arrival, they found the rooms to be in unacceptable condition.The bedding had visible staining, the bathroom (including the tub) was not properly cleaned, and the overall condition of the rooms did not meet basic cleanliness standards. Based on this, they made the decision not to stay and immediately raised their concerns.Hotel staff showed them a few rooms, but the condition was consistent and did not resolve the issue. They did not stay overnight and left the property.When we followed up for a refund, we were initially told to go through Expedia. Expedia then contacted the hotel, who ultimately refused a full refund and only offered 50%, despite the rooms not being used.We’ve included photos of what was found upon arrival so others can make an informed decision.Very disappointing experience and not what you expect when booking accommodations for staff.

  Although I have respect for locations that take in folks off the street, I would not recommend this hotel for your stay. On arrival we were greeted with paramedics in the parking lot working on an overdose, many folks with furniture, shopping carts and themselves living and watching from their hotel doorway, more homeless lingering in the parking lot as well. On check-in we questioned this and were told their patrons were safe. Once In our room we searched for another hotel as we felt unsafe with 2 carloads of furniture etc for a move. The room table had blood smeared on it, sheets were filthy, cigarette holes in comforter, walls and carpet dirty, not even a 1 star could be given for this. We moved on to a wonderful hotel across town and never received a refund but definitely glad to get away from this experience.

  Hotel has gone downhill—now a place to avoid

  We’ve stayed here many times before without issue, but will never come again. The mandatory $250 “damage deposit” was a new and unwelcome surprise. Rooms are dirty; furniture and walls are battered and grubby. Deadbolt was missing; bathroom had a clogged sink, inadequate towels, no fan, and holes in the wall where the hairdryer should be; beds had ill-fitting sheets, blankets with cigarette-burn holes, and no bedspreads; room phone didn’t work; we had no coffeemaker, ice bucket, or ironing board. Front desk staff did not want me to wait for my receipt after checkout and provided no receipt or documentation of stay except for the slip from the credit card machine. I recommend going anywhere else.

  Worst hotel and customer service EVER

  Worst place to stay ever. Manager was amazing. But when I tried to check out she refused to give me my receipts for my rooms I paid for. And then threatened to call the police. Very unprofessional and should not be in customer service. Very rude and didn't know very much. Never stayed at a hotel were u could not get a receipt for ur stay. Never staying at this dump again

  Upon checking into our room, found a few, small issues, which when told front desk about, were taken care of fast.Room was very clean, the mattress, though very comfortable, shows signs of needing to be replaced
