Location

This hotel is close to Midtown Plaza and the Ukrainian Museum of Canada. An additional attraction includes the University of Saskatchewan. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of central Saskatoon on two hectares of private waterfront gardens, nestled between two riverfront parks on the South Saskatchewan River. Saskatoon's most distinguished landmark has been extensively and beautifully renovated and is a celebration of the city's heritage.

Facility

The hotel has 2 lifts and features 225 rooms and 18 suites. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     The Worst Hotel I've Ever Stayed At

    This was, without question, the worst hotel stay I've ever had in my entire 20+ years on the road. They should tell you, when you book, that this property does not offer air conditioning as an amenity. So if you enjoy sleeping in 80-degree hotel rooms, you may enjoy this property. I did not.The outlets nearest the bed didn't work, four of the five windows in the room either wouldn't open, or wouldn't *stay* open, the toilet hadn't been cleaned thoroughly, the pleather was peeling off the desk chair, and every piece of ancillary furniture was stained.The poor girl at the front desk couldn't have been more apologetic, and did everything she could to see what she could do to make my stay better, but since she can't install air conditioning and my company was paying for the stay, there wasn't much within her control.I will absolutely never stay here ever again, and I encourage anyone reading this to stay at literally any other hotel in Saskatoon.This hotel is an embarrassment to the city, and to the brand.Oh, and also, for the opportunity to enjoy all this, it cost over $400 FOR ONE NIGHT.

    I chose this hotel for a two-night stay based on good reviews, its central location, castle-like architecture, and river views. While the building looks impressive, the stay itself was extremely disappointing.The room lacked basic amenities. There was no proper air conditioning or ventilation, no bathroom fan, and a broken window that had to be propped open. After showering, the bathroom remained damp and smelled humid for days. A standing fan was provided, but the thermostat only blew hot air, making the room uncomfortably warm.When I reported this, the front desk simply acknowledged that renovations were needed and took no action. At nearly $400 per night, this hotel offered very poor value. I expected an upscale experience, but a budget hotel would have been far more comfortable.

    Very nice historic hotel. Rooms were clean/comfortable with the amenities you need/would expect. Staff was very accommodating. Had an event in the bar which went well and we were well taken care of. Within easy walking distance of any number of good restaurants and other points of interest.

    Pulled up to the beautiful hotel to amazing doormen. There was no parking on site for hotel guests. I had to park across the street. Also have to pay for parking on top of 500 a night. The room is small but quaint and the beds are amazing. Coffee pot makes one cup of coffee that tastes like cardboard. 2 creamers in the room. A hotel of this caliber should at least have free coffee for guests in the lobby.

    Old building, has character. Hotel is updated and the room was of good size. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the lounge had good food choices.Of particular impression was the front desk service staff: professional, efficient and courteous. No unnecessary questions asked, all was done quickly.
