    We lucked out and got an amazing rate on a member last minute booking. Check in was quick and friendly. The hotel is very clean from lobby all the way to our room. I love that you must use your room card to operate the elevator, more secure. We were on the 9th floor facing the freeway. Very very quiet. Ice machine close by.,The room had everything you needed. Has shampoo/conditioner/ body wash and lotion. Blow dryer as well. King size bed very comfortable. The pillows were too soft for us but the hotel said they would put on my account that we prefer firm pillows for future visits. There is no continental breakfast here. There is a breakfast buffet $18.99 for hot station which includes everything. $11.99 for cold station, cereals muffins etc. The hot buffet was worth the money. (Note if you order coffee you get a carafe if you order juice you get one small glass.) Food area clean and spacious. Staff work hard and were polite. Prices for the restaurant for regular meals lunch/dinner were very reasonable. ( Fish n chips $21.99.)We also paid $20 +$1(gst) to park in the heated parkade. Very worth it. Plus vehicle safe as you are downtown. Huge shopping mall a block away. Lots of restaurants nearby. There is also the Scotia Centre movie theatre close by. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

    Holiday Inn Saskatoon Downtown by IHG are Ridiculous Extortionists

    Thought I was reserving room with Holiday Inn Saskatoon Downtown by IHG for over 3 months in advance. I check bank account in morning and full amount charged. Front desk not helpful - "You prepaid full amount and if you cancel, you forfeit the total amount" in a calm robotic voice....no I didn't. I reserved on your website online as with any hotel....So, you have to pay in full before you even stay at this hotel and you cannot cancel or you lose entire amount including taxes?!!! Ridiculous. Hoping to speak to manager or reasonable person on Monday otherwise guess I'm stuck but they will certainly hear about this in person. A retired person on limited funding cannot pay full hotel bill prior to staying before I receive travel claims from other contracts (side hustles).     Good quality, good value accommodation in a good location in Saskatoon. Friendly staff, good, clean rooms, good bar and very central to most needs in Saskatoon. Within easy walking distance of the river and lots of restaurant and cafe options.

    Check in was good. Indoor parking great because of extreme cold temperatures. Room was nice except the bathroom door is a slide, which doesn't even cover the door way. No privacy and no question about what's going on in the bathroom. Hot tub was cold, and maintenance guy had left and no one could could turn up the heat. Great location.     A Lovely Hotel, but the Little Things Really Affected My Stay

    I stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown Saskatoon for 3 nights on a business trip. My connection was cancelled, so I spent the first night in Winnipeg, but thanks to Vlad at the front desk, the no-show fee was waived, and I didn’t have to pay for the missed night. Good job man!The room (King Suite) was very spacious and clean, though housekeeping came late in the day (around 4:30 p.m.), which was inconvenient since I was already settled in after work. I would have preferred the room to be tidied up earlier.The front desk service was great, and Vlad was very helpful in resolving the issue of my missed night.The gym is small but convenient, though the TV could use an upgrade. The pool was nice but crowded on Saturday night. Its location isn’t ideal, as it’s visible from the restaurant and lobby, which reduces privacy.The restaurant was the most disappointing part of my stay. I’ve seen waiters in the past who were clearly having a bad day, and that’s completely normal, but the restaurant was empty, and this waiter didn’t seem fit for the job. The waiter was inattentive, often on his phone, and didn’t check in during the meal. He hesitated to give me a glass for my beer because he only had one left, didn’t offer condiments with my fries, and overall, I didn’t feel welcome. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and there was no follow-up to see if my meal was okay. The service felt unprofessional and disconnected, surprising for a hotel restaurant. Honestly, I don’t think this waiter should be working there anymore.On the plus side, there’s free parking, and the elevator goes directly from the parking lot to the room floors.Overall, I might recommend this hotel. The rooms and front desk service were good, but the restaurant experience was lacking.
