    More than an anonymous airport hotel

    A modern, comfortable, well-maintained hotel close to the airport, although there was no aircraft noise. My room was clean, large and well-equipped.The hotel has a restaurant with a good choice of evening meals, plus a bar. There was also a food coutner that served breakast goodies at a charge if you don't feel like making the one minute drive to Tim HortonsThe free shuttle service appeared at the terminal (at Departure Door 2) a few minutes after I phoned the hotel, even though it was past midnight. It was also avaiable on demand from the hotel back to the airport later the same day.There were plenty of free parking spaces - but remember to register your registration plate at reception.Overall, a very good place to stay.

    I typically don't take the time to leave reviews unless something went exceptionally well or exceptionally bad and unfortunately this trip was EXCEPTIONALLY BAD. I chose to book a king kitchen suite as this was a multi-day stay. Check-in was quick and easy, the staff at this location are always friendly and helpful. Upon arrival to my room I was perplexed to find that it looked as if the bed had slept in as the pillows and bedding were in disarray. The room had obviously not been cleaned very well as there were bits of trash on the floor (food debris, toenail clippings, etc). I did not make a fuss of this and after a long travel day I just wanted a hot shower. I found the shower to have soap scum, several body hairs and live insects which I had to rinse down the drain (there were more live insects in the shower the next day). After my disappointing shower I door-dashed some food since it was pretty late. Part of the reason for booking a kitchen suite was to have access to dishware and utensils. I grabbed a plate to eat my dinner and found food particles stuck to the plate, I then found that this was the case will all of the plates in the cupboard. I also found every drinking glass to be disgustingly filthy, several of them still had what looked like milk rings in them. Sleep was very difficult to achieve in this room due to the amount of outside noise. There were guests hanging out in the hallways holding loud conversations, unattended children that were actually having a foot race in the hallway until 11:30 PM when I had to yell at them to stop because the front desk attendant did not address the issue, I heard other guests having to yell at these kids as well. To the credit of the helpful night-time front desk attendant, he did attempt to stop the other guests from causing disturbances but the night shift at this location is very understaffed. I've stayed at this location many times and never been completely satisfied with my stay but this stay was absolutely terrible.

    My flight got in at 9 am. The staff worked hard to get me in a room. Early check in at 10:30 . I was very thankful. They were very kind. Room was clean. Bed was so comfortable. Hotel is showing age but it's clean. Bathtubs are so so tiny. Need to be changed out & updated. Restaurant served great good. Great place to stay .

    Comfortable for an overnight in transit

    Primarily catering to travelers flying to or from St. John's, this hotel exceeded our expectations for comfort and service. The receptionist kindly allowed us to check in early, as soon as a room was available, and the lobby made a comfortable place to wait meanwhile. The food in the restaurant was good if a tad pricey.
