    Pleasant staff, excellent food for conference

    Was here for a conference. The catered food was excellent. Staff were universally pleasant and helpful and the housekeepers did a really good job keeping my room tidy each day. Gym and pool were closed due to unexpected maintenance issues, but stay overall was excellent.

    Reception lady not at all friendly attendant on 9th floor lounge was heard swearing , not at all friendly . Hotel dated but not terrible, some staff need to find another calling Heather McKinnon, General Manager at Delta Hotels St. John's Conference Centre, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your experience following your recent stay.     Wonderful birthday celebration

    What a wonderful stay at the Delta St. John's to celebrate my 65 birthday. They gave me a beautiful high corner room with a spectacular view of the Harbour and some special birthday treats. All the staff that we encountered from the very nice lady that checked me in, to the staff in the restaurant and bar were friendly and attentive. The hotel is located in an excellent area for easily walking to restaurants and bars and the waterfront area. I am so pleased with m6 stay here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit St. John's

    Great location and lovely hotel.Jackie on the front desk is truly the ambassador for Newfoundland hospitality and charm. She couldn't do enough for us, made our stay very special.

    Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Delta St. John's. Upon arrival we were assigned to a nice corner king with a view of some of the colourful houses the city is famous for. We asked if there were any upgrades available, as it was our wedding anniversary, but due to a large group in house over the holiday weekend we couldn't get one right away, but for our last three nights we were able to move to a jacuzzi suite. While it was on a lower floor it had a nice view of the waterfront and the best part - a jacuzzi in the corner of the bedroom. Overall I'd say the hotel has a 1990's vibe about it, and while a little tired in places they do keep it clean. We also enjoyed both the offerings in the club lounge and for the two holiday days it was closed had the wonderful breakfast buffet in the restaurant. I'd likely choose to stay here again on a subsequent visit to the area, and thank them for looking after us for our special occasion.
