  So many friendly hotels in St Johns, this is not one of them. Money is the only thing they care about that simple. There is no care, thought or customer service, it is very apparent they just want you to pay, be quiet and not ask for anything outside of the very basic service they give you. If you want a smile, service and the feeling they actually want you in their hotel then i suggest literally any other establishment.   Last night in Newfoundland

  We had hoped for an early check-in as our rental car had to be back at the airport for 1. Ava at the front desk said she would try. We had been up very early to make the drive as it was raining so our car could be returned on time...we were exhausted. We sat for 2 hours in the lobby right in front of the desk with NO communication. Finally we inquired and were told we would still have to wait. 3 hours of sitting in the lobby... After Gabriel came on shift we finally got a room. Wheelchair access with a wheelchair access shower..we didn't need that. We would have taken any room, which we did mention We know people check out early as we had too..5 am, and there were at least 8 others that did as well.. They told us there were no empty rooms? I'm pretty sure there was one clean room in that big hotel. Not a great end to an other wise great 3 weeks. As mentioned in your other two online reviews regarding this experience, we are sorry to hear that you feel our staff were not being hospitable to you when you arrived to check in early on a day during peak season that the hotel was sold out. The room type that you had reserved through a third party online booking platform is for a specific wheel chair accessible room type, and given that the hotel was sold out there was simply no other room type to relocate you or upgrade you to. We strongly encourage booking with the hotel directly during any of your future travels to avoid such disappointment of additional requests being impossible to be met, as this situation could have been avoided had your preferred room type been reserved during your time of booking.

  Our Go To Hotel

  This is our Go To hotel. We stay here if we have an early morning flight, late night arrival, for its proximity to the airport.We also stay here if we are just having a family night away. We have stayed there 3 times this summer. The rooms are comfortable, you 100% will not be bothered with planes.We have a small dog, and she is always welcomed by the front desk staff. Most that have met her, love her. If you are bringing a pet, I would recommend booking directly with the hotel/The pool is lovely. Our son loves it! The breakfast is delicious. It can be busy, but this most recent time, I was the only one there.If I were to have 1 negative thing to say about this hotel, it would simply be, there are no bathtubs. If you are someone that requires a tub, stay elsewhere.   Perfect Location

  Within walking distance to the airport but there is a shuttle 24 hours to accommodate your needs. Unlike some other hotels, this shuttle is consistent and reliable and does not share ride with other properties which is incredibly important if you have a flight to catch for early morning or late hours. We booked a king suite with a fireplace and the room was well appointed and equipped. With prices severely increased for the Churchill Music Festival, I would have appreciated more attention to dusting on the baseboards next to the bed but room was spotless otherwise. We stayed for 3 nights and though the room was serviced after the first night, we did not receive further service during our stay despite putting the request on the outdoor doorknob. We had no issues receiving requested items at the Front Desk in this regard. With the high price of the hotel in peak season and during special events, it would be ideal for breakfast to be included. That said, there is a gas station, convenience store and a Tim Hortons within 5 minutes of the property for any needs the hotel cannot provide. Overall a great stay and would not hesitate to stay again but preferably during off-season rates.   Good hotel between flights

  2 adults and 2 young children, one night stay before an early flight. Modern hotel which was perfect for our needs after returning from Europe on our way home to Western Canada. The room itself and bathroom were large and clean, except we found a previous guest’s headband under the nightstand (makes you wonder how clean the floor is). We enjoyed the warm pool, which was clean and well-stocked with towels, but felt it was missing a hot tub… there’s a big open tiled area beside the pool which seems like it could have been a hot tub previously. We visited the Tim’s and convenience store across the street for some snacks - very convenient! We didn’t try the included breakfast as we had to leave earlier than it started, but we were able to grab some continental items as we headed out the door at 5:30 am. That was a nice touch!
