    Book at the Leaside Manor at the last minute during a drive into St. John's - last minute change in travel plans. Upon arrival was not certain how the accommodations would turn out - we are absolutely pleasantly surprised as the location was awesome, the staff absolutely top notch, friendly, so welcoming, knowledgeable - very clean, check out/check in easy, great parking. Very affordable and great value for the cost. Would absolutely stay here without hesitation.Oct 2025The Colbournes

    The 4/5 reflects the difficult access; there is no easy way to get to check-in and to bring in our luggage. There are numerous stairs, and not the safest. The stairwell to get to our second-floor apartment were extremely narrow. The place is absolutely gorgeous, though, the breakfasts are outstanding, and the staff is so friendly. Upon opening the door to our suite, I was awed by its presentation. If you’re of a younger age, with little to bring in with you, this is a beautiful place to stay in St. John’s.

    This property is an absolute gem. A wonderful historic home that’s been converted into beautiful and comfortable suites. Loved every minute of my stay. Breakfast delivered to our room was wonderful. Check in was super easy and the staff accommodated everything we asked for. We were able to walk back here every evening from downtown (George st & Water st bars and restaurants) -though it is about a 25 minute walk. Ubers to town or back were around 10 dollars per way for a general estimate. Excellent location, beautiful quiet street. Super cool grounds. Will be back for sure!

    This place has four stories with outside narrow stairs. There are stairs going to the main level from the driveway that are at a 45 degree angle and hugely dangerous. The rooms are tiny with no chairs. There was a 14 inch round glass high table with two stools but the stool collapsed to normal size making the table at chin level. Breakfast was good.

    The staff were incredible. The accommodations were nice but there some minor flaws including the toilet wasn’t working properly and the remote for the television was not working. The breakfast was very impressive. Overall I would recommend Leaside to anyone looking to stay in St.John’s.
