  Comfortable Stay with a Few Quirks – Great for Recovery & Remote Work

  We stayed in a one-bedroom suite at Homewood Suites while my husband recovered from back surgery, and overall, it was a very convenient and comfortable choice.The king bed was excellent—supportive and cozy—and the washroom off the bedroom was a smart layout for easy access. The kitchen was well-equipped with a stovetop, microwave, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and enough counter space to prep small meals without feeling cramped. The dining table doubled nicely as my remote work station while my husband rested, which made juggling caregiving and work much easier.The included breakfast was quite good, with a mix of hot and cold options that kept things interesting each morning.Now for the quirks: the Wi-Fi was a bit of a scavenger hunt. Our room kept connecting to the sister property next door, which didn’t recognize our login—so I had to take my laptop on a daily hallway stroll just to catch the right signal. Not ideal, but I got my steps in!The dining chairs were showing their age, and the living room couch had a mysterious sinkhole where the sofa bed hides—definitely not nap-friendly. The living room chair was oddly tall compared to the couch, making seating arrangements feel like a game of uneven musical chairs.Despite those hiccups, the suite was clean, quiet, and well laid out. It served our needs well during a challenging time, and we appreciated the space and amenities.

  0 Client Aftercare during Fire Alarm Evacuation

  The fire alarm was pulled and we were outside for an hour and a half. During the incident, not one employee apologized to anyone. We were barely even told we could go back in.The next morning checking out the "person" at the counter didn't even ask how our stay was nor offered a discount, nor apologized. Awful after care for having to stand outside in 5 degree weather in your pyjamas. One guy was sitting on his walker with a sheet on. I travel quite a bit for work and have had this happen. When it does, actually good hotel staff will really try to make it up to you. Not Hilton. I vow I'll never stay at a Hilton again and tell everyone just how dogwater the customer service is when dealing with evacuations and client care. Not being acknowledged, apologized to, or even asked how your stay was is unacceptable. You had every right to expect more from us, especially during a situation as disruptive as an evacuation.Your feedback has been shared with the appropriate departments for immediate review, and we will be using this as a learning opportunity to retrain our staff on both emergency response and guest care during and after such events.Thank you again for your honesty.   Great value, clean and suites in food shape. The only negative thing is that the soundproofing in the suite was poor. I could literally hear toilets above us flushing and conversations people in the adjoining room were having. Staff were friendly and efficient.

  We were there on a hockey tournament, my daughter and 3 other girls were approached by a maintenance man that all but begged them to take a selfie with him in their pjs. One mother thankfully heard and made the maintenance man give her his office whereby she deleted the pictures. The guy was not let go and when I called hilton to report it, they basically said it's been dealt with......ps the girls were 11 and 12
