    Room 401Darius greeted us with a beautiful smile. Made our day so much better after a long drive.  Hotel is easy to find and close to restaurants and stores. Always an easy check in experience and Darius is at the top of my favorite list. Room was very clean and well stocked. Quiet and dark.  Bed and linens very comfortable. Bathroom well stocked and great towels. IHG always reliable for good quality at a good price. Breakfast is typical free IHG goodness. Dining area very clean and well set up. Check up just as pleasant and seamless as check in.

    TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !! Came from out of town booked a 2 day stay NO HOT WATER ! Both nights. Was supposed to be fixed the first day while we were out and wasn’t !!!! We were not even offered another room and ignored when calling the front desk. Breakfast sucked and they stand watching everything you take Tried getting a refund or SOMETHING but NO basically told to go pound sand. Third world sh**Not even a Canadian company. DO NOT STAY HERE ALSO HAD BLACK HAIR IN MY TUB. Makes sense because if they would’ve cleaned the tub they would’ve known there was no hot water.     My admin assistant made a reservation using the IHG mobile phone App on October 2, 2025 for a stay at the Holiday Inn Swift Current December 12-14, 2025. I received my confirmation e-mail from holidayinnexpress@tx.ihg.com as I normally do. It confirmed I booked a 2 King suite and it said the reservation was cancellable until December 10,2025. I was reviewing my electronic calendar and the IHG app to confirm my business travel for the next two weeks. I was shocked to see that my room was downgraded to a two queen standard and the rate was unchanged. In addition, the cancellation policy on this room had been changed to non refundable. “Cancellation will result in a charge. A deposit for the entire stay is due at time of booking “. I called the hotel and the front desk supervisor (Darius) couldn’t explain what happened but said he would talk to general manager and call me back. Three days went by and no return call. I called again today and talked to the sales manager. He advised that the central head office reservation network app booked the reservation. He said the employees at the Holiday Inn in Swift Current reviewed the booking and determined that the room was larger than the room they provide in the rate category for which it was booked. As a result, they downgraded the room. He acknowledged that I had not been notified about the change. He did not know why the cancellation policy was changed to non-refundable. He did offer to honour the room type for this time but I asked him to cancel the reservation. I refuse to do business with a company that does this without notifying the customer. He did cancel my reservation. I stay in hotels on business about 100 nights per year. This is a first for me. In my opinion, when a hotel send you the confirmation email it is a contract to provide that room type at the quoted rate. Conversely, if I booked a room and I don’t show up I am bound by that contract and I am charged the quoted rate. If you book a room at this hotel using the central reservation system, be very careful because you may not get what you booked.     Very modern and comfortable hotel

    According to the friendly and effiicient front desk staff, this hotel has recently been completely refurbished. I can well imagine this to be true as it was immaculate and modern throughout. My room was large, very clean, and equipped with a microwave, fridge and coffee machine. Altough it was just a hundred metres or so from the highway, there was no traffic noise. Breakfast was the usual hot and cold buffet. There was plenty of parking space.

    We checked into the hotel to stay 2 nights as we have family that live in Swift Current to visit. The hotel was booked with sports teams which is fine. The sports teams took over the WHOLE breakfast room for the ENTIRE day and evening!!! You couldn't sit in there to eat breakfast and then they ordered in SO many pizzas for their supper. The whole lobby reeked of pizza and teenagers! Very gross. We took our kids to swim in the pool. There were 20 kids in the pool at any given time and not one parent in the pool room area to watch their kids. The parents were all standing out in the lobby watching their kids swim thru the window! There were 2 other families that brought their little kids to swim. The team boys were SCREAMING and jumping into the pool that the other 2 families finally had to leave and take their littles out with them. I spoke to the front desk and the clerk said he would talk to someone. A half later no one came and then the pool guy came to check the chemicals so I also spoke to him but no one came and nothing was said. I went back to the front desk and spoke to the clerk again but STILL nothing was said or done. I will never stay at this hotel again! I understand that teams need somewhere to stay but obviously the hotel needs to lay down a few common courtesy rules regarding the breakfast room and I would think it would be a REALLY good idea to have at least one parent in the pool room to be watching kids swimming! Kids were pushing each other into the pool.
