    Look for another place to stay

    Needs major renovations and upgrades. If you're looking for a place to stay and don't mind a hard bed, shower that barely works, curtains falling, spardic wifi, curtain that don't fit the windows and limited working plugs this is the place for you.

    Charging credit card without notice days after for false reasoning.

    so around midnight the fire alarm goes off in the hotel ..april 27th-28th .. we figure out how to shut off in the room but the building we thought must have a fire bc it went off for half hour or longer ..so we pack stuff quick and go out to see whats going on .. other then the fan and heater unit smelling like a lil plastic burning smell that possibly could of been something like a wire short ..there wasnt any smell of smoke or fire ..but we pick the phone up to call front desk and it didnt work .. so we wait to be evacuated or checked on by staff or reaponders for when a fire alarm goes off when youre in a hotel in bed .. we wait .. go for a walk .. one man shakes his head he doesnt know what was going on.. the fire dept. didnt even show up when the next morning the manager said yes they were here.. when if video is shown ..you will deff not see the fire dept show up..it finally shuts off but chirps every half hour for a few seconds like it may have been malfunctioning im not sure.. safe to say we didnt have a good sleep at all .. and with noone even coming to say all is well we were kind of wondering if we should just leave then.. but we stuck it out until the next morning .. 2 workers came in and i explained to them what went on and they said yes eveeyrhing is good now and inspected around the room ..no damage and agreed it could of been the floor below us or a circuit in the fan/ heater... the next day i ask to speak to the manager ..and when she is out of her meeting she assures us the fire station showed up and ppl were notified .. but its kind of hard to miss a fire truck lighting up or just at all .. but it would be on video if she is assuring us .. so she agrees to take 40$ off the cost of the room for the night for just not being able to sleep as the fire alarm in the hallway kept chirping for 3 or 4 seconds every half hour. no idea why .. so i said ok they reimbursed us 40$ ..and was a long night so we put it behind us .. and i can see on my creditcard where the 40$ was pending ..today i wake up ..and notice they reimbursed ua 40$ ..but then charged it right away again ..so i call .. the girl trys to say yeah we realized it happened in your room and you guys had all the fire sensors covered which is a complete lie ..because when i finally got them to check the room in the morning ..they said eveeything was good in there now and possible was the fan or maybe a circuit somewhere bc no smell of smoke etc and the room is exactly how it was.. and the girl this morning is trying to say we caused it .. we plugged up spots to cause it and we are lucky they dont take our damage deposit back and make it 250$ .. i said there is no damage to the room and if it was our fan that is not our fault ..its the buildings ..we didnt smoke and the fact she took it apon herself to say we covered the smoke alarms when clearily then men would of noticed that the next morning when i had them check the room .. regaurdless ..like i said noone called the room to check on us because the phone did not work in the room .. even when we went out looking noone had answers and deff no fire station .. but to go back into my card and decide to charge it for anorher 40$ after giving her word .. and there were no calls or contact saying after a couple of days were gonna blame you guys and take the 40$ back ..or charge us another 40$ ..then try and get me off the phone by saying well it came from your room and you had them covered so you better be happy with us just charging you the extra 40$ because i can take your damage deposit back .. when the room was left exacrlt how it was no damage at all .. no smoke alarms covered which was completly made up at the time to get me off the phone . i said there was video ..you can listen to it keeo going off like chirping in the outside all all night ..she said oh sorry we dont have sound ..and for the girl to just come up with youre lucky we dont keep the 250 $ ... if you are saying your fan/ heater caused it ... thats not us damaging the room at all .. thats a faulty system on an old building which happens .. but the girl completlty made up that we covered the alarms is just insulting ..we were in bed .. so the fact they hust decided they were gonna charge me after telling me something completlty different and sending me on my way to just be lucky enough i checked my card and realized they charged my card again .. is just completly non professional and then making up that we covered our fire alarm when the men in the morning would of seen that righrt away .. not to mention our alarm went off like everywhere elses .. just waiting on the manager to be out of another meeting and is supposed to contact me back ... but i have always stayed at travel lodge and usually everything is great . even when i travel through the province for my job i give them tons of buisness ..months at a time ...but then for this to happen ..and on top of it then they try and tell me it was our fault and bc their heater may have caused it ..theyll make us pay 250$ for a damage deposit like its our fault if the heater seemed faulty .. like its pretty disapointing you try to just slide another charge back off my card without notice and then basically say well be happy we dont make you pay for a damaged room ..when not a thing was damaged .. im pretty shocked. and patiently waiting for the manager to explaine to me is this the way you run things here now .. because saying we covered anything was 100% made up .. and when you are reimbursed 40 dollars ans agree on that..to find out they have your card 2 days later and are charging the 40$ back just to break even .. then threaten to charge more over complete false claims is very disapointing .. like they werent bothered the phone to the desk didnt even work ..which we didnt see as a reason ro bother them .. i stayed there over march break ..our fridge didnt work ..i menrioned it leaving just so they knew. but blaming the customer when no damage was done to the room and trying to say theyll charge us for damages when there was no damage other then us not sleeping half the night because of situation and deciding to dip back into my card to take money out .... like that is just wrong .. and its not the 40$ as much as the way they are treating us and making up false claims even by saying the fire starion showed up when it happened or gave us any info if a part of the building was on fire or any info at all.. they just decide to not want to reimurse the 40$ so they come up with it must of been your rooms fault and lucky we are not charging us more bc of whatever ontheir fan/heaters didnt work correctly ..its the customers fault? ... like i said always stayed there ..never had a problome .. then this .. and then making up that we must of covered the smoke alarm .. which makes no sense bc the men would of seen that .. not to mention the problome was that the smoke alarm was going off ..through the whole building so it obviously wasnt covered .. anyway i cant wait to see if they are actually going to say we were the ones who get the blame so they decided to grab an extra 40$ wirhout even a notification or being contacted . bc id love to see where it was our fault and we must of covered the alarms .. that went off ? .. they literally just made me think one thing to not have to deal with it ..then didnt keep their word and tried to sneak a charge by without notice ..and when were confronted..tried to threaten us with paying more bc its possible the heater was faulty in our room .. and remember this is going on after midnight etc ..when them workers were not even there .. anyways veey curious how they will go about this now when the manager gets out of her meeting and contacts me back..or i have to contact them back. but im not letting that employee try and scare me away by saying we will make you pay another 100$ on top of it .. like i said im curious how they will handle it this time .. literally wasnt even an apolagy saying im sorry it interfeared with your stay and a good sleep .. they rather sneak the 40$ back off yah and tell you its your fault and we will charge you more if you enquire about this more . simply just not right or this effort wouldnt be worth the 40$ they should be putting toward whatever made the alarm go off to begin with . disapointed .hoping it was just a mixup and someone at front desk thought something different then actually happened to say them things .. but i know they record their calls ..so im not just letting a hotel chain that i been a loyal customer to just bully thier way out of not paying 40$ agreement that was thier idea ..if i hadnt of checked by chance i never even would of known they did that. well see i guess .

    Great service and clean. Professionalism was observed.When I stay, I toss quarters on the floor for kids to find. Try it. The room was massive for me and my daughter's. Shower was hot 🔥 And the A/C worked great.Complementary breakfast was also above average for selection and fresh!.     Great staff but hotel needs work

    I’m a little torn writing this, as the staff were all amazing and went above and beyond, from the front desk to maintenance… but hotel itself is really not in great shape.The beds themselves were very clean and comfortable. Lobby was great. But the carpet in the room and throughout the hotel was pretty gross. Like blue/grey stains, super colorful paint stains? And just too many dark stains to feel comfortable in socks in the room.The bathroom smelled of vinegar, not cleaner, just vinegar & the light over the sink was barely on. Maintenance did come quickly to resolve some issues (beeping safe, and broken drawer that wouldn’t close), and extra pillows were delivered quickly as well.Our regular hotel options were full this weekend due to a tournament and so I picked this one over other’s available due to the pool. But that was a mistake: Theres rust everywhere (not in the pool itself), peeling paint and rusty doors. My kids went in the pool and the water was extremely cloudy, they didn’t want to stay long. The shower didn’t work and almost came out of the wall. The pool area was really dark overall. Unfortunately, I just don’t think the place warrants the price I paid, $245 total Plus pet fee.The breakfast was nice to have, I’d suggest sticking to toast and cereal.I do think if they renovate it will be a great option in Sydney, as the staff is really great. Just need to bring the quality of the hotel up or bring the price down and know what you’re getting.

    Room smelled like cat spray. Bedding not changed or cleaned properly. Hairs imbedded in sheets. Warm breakfast was cold and not cooked properly and nothing under the pans to keep them warm.
