    A lovely stay at this timeless hotel

    Spent 2 nights at Hotel Tadoussac in late Sept. 2025. We had a Riverview room at the front of the hotel. The room was a good size however, the window overlooking the river was rather small. Window with a screen that opened which was lovely. Check in was quick and easy and all staff we encountered were very polite, professional and bilingual. We were celebrating an anniversary and were left a lovely note with chocolates and a bottle of sparkling water. Loved the Common area off the lobby with the piano, views of the grounds and river, puzzles on the tables etc.; a wood burning fireplace and in the mornings, complimentary coffee. There seemed to be a tour group or two at the hotel which made for some crowds at meeting times. Loved sitting out in the lawn deck chairs overlooking the boardwalk and river. Spotted some whales with a high tide early one morning! We did not eat at the hotel, they seem to push making a reservation for buffet breakfast or dinner when you check in saying it is a special rate or hard to get reservations. There are several nice restaurants in town and a lovely little French bakery. The parking is free behind the hotel and we always found a spot. There is a little grocery store in town too easily walkable from the hotel. the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The elevator is always slow and crowded so if you can walk the stairs, that's the easiest. All in all, a lovely weekend at this quaint hotel. Would happily return!

    Five stars from me for this wonderful, historic house on Tadoussac Bay. My room was very appropriately furnished, not at all kitschy. Everything was spotless, and the breakfast was excellent. The view takes your breath away and is simply stunning.

    Tadoussac Hotel - Charming and Comfortable

    We spent three nights at the Tadoussac Hotel. The rooms are small as it is an older hotel but it seems to have been recently renovated, the bedding is comfortable and it is quiet at night. The desk staff are very helpful. We had to ask for a shower cap and coffee for our room for our additional 2 nights, but that was ok. We had dinner in the hotel one night and it was very good as was the service.

    Prettiest hotel ever?

    My wife and I were not sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews for Tadoussac Hotel. We need not have worried. The hotel is the prettiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The exterior is well maintained, gardens were beautiful, with views to die for. Our room was immaculate, recently refurbished I imagine, not a blemish anywhere. The bathroom sparkled. The only downside was the adjoining door to next room was very thin and voices are very clearly heard between the rooms(for us at least Rm 313). Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant was also good. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this special place. Our AML whale watch was also successful we saw Minky, Beluga and fin whales. Let’s return one day!

    Hotel was nice but food at hotel restaurant was not. Soup was not hot, rice was cold and dried out, and service was poor. Food and service at local restaurant was excellent.
