    Hello,I am writing to share some feedback regarding a recent interaction I had with the front desk team at the Comfort Inn in Thunder Bay.I originally called to inquire about a room booking, but unfortunately had to cancel the reservation due to an accessibility issue involving elevator access that did not meet my needs. The situation was frustrating on my end, but the staff member I spoke with handled everything with outstanding professionalism and understanding.What really stood out was that he went far beyond what I expected. After I cancelled the booking, he took the initiative to assist me in finding an alternative hotel in the area that could better accommodate my accessibility requirements. He quickly checked multiple options, evaluated them with me in real time, and clearly explained which ones would or would not work.He ultimately found a suitable room at another hotel (Howard Johnson), including wheelchair accessibility and a roll-in shower, and arranged the full booking transfer for me directly. This saved me a significant amount of time and stress, and I have genuinely never experienced that level of proactive assistance when dealing with hotel reservations.He turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a very positive experience, and I believe this level of service deserves to be recognized.

    Awful! Had car problems would not help out at all with refund etc. customer service horrible.Breakfast was awful! Worst ever had at any hotel.Will stick with holiday inn.Way too expensive

    Have used the property a few times and it’s nice to see improvements. We booked two nights but at different times as we weren’t sure of our plans. The attendant at the desk was able you adjust the booking so that we didn’t need to change rooms. Breakfast was good, adequate selection and very friendly attendant. My only comment would be that the windows, certainly the exterior, really need to be cleaned.

    Was a great room, spacious, clean and well maintained. Newly renovated. Free hot breakfast. Bed was good, furniture etc looked to be quite new. Only dislike, was that the floor was newer vinyl tile, which was clean, but eventually felt gritty after coming in and out through the patio doors. No biggie, just personal preference.

    Our ‘Go to’ hotel for medical trips

    We have stayed at this hotel over the last 3 years numerous times due to medical visits with specialists. This hotel has improved so much over the years and has been recently renovated. So nice to see the elimination of the carpets and replace with vanilla flooring. Hallways were very bright, well lit and clean. Breakfast is plentiful and good. Snacks are available at the front desk (vending machine) for a small fee. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. We have many more trips to Thunder Bay for medical purposes unfortunately and the Comfort Inn will be our first choice of hotels. Highly recommend this hotel!
