    My recent stay was well below expectations for a Hilton property and for a silver member.Front desk service was below average. The customer service representative, Nick, seemed disengaged and didn’t even provide the signature warm chocolate chip cookies that Hilton Honors members expect. Small details matter and this was missed. Shuttle Service was extremely unreliable. We waited 1 hour 20 minutes for airport pickup and eventually gave up. When we finally got to the hotel on our own, I saw the shuttle driver just hanging out front smoking instead of running the route. The room was uncomfortably warm on arrival. The AC unit was old and took a very long time to cool the space, making the first few hours of our stay unpleasant. Throughout the night the AC made noises, hardly could get any sleep. In addition the cleaning lady knocked on the room at 10:20 AM, however check out was not till 12:00 noon. This interrupted our sleep when we were able to get some. Upon checking out, the front desk lady just asked us to place the key in a box when asked about the shuttle to the airport, she asked if we booked it? I asked her if we needed to because I thought this was a service they provided with no additional cost and she said take a seat, it won’t be till 12:20pm. Such a horrible experience. I booked the hotel last minute and was the cheapest at the time and this is probably why! Would definitely not recommend even if this would be the cheapest option. You definitely get what you pay for. Overall, between the poor service, lack of basic Hilton standards, and shuttle issues, this stay did not meet Hilton standards. I would not return.     Enjoyed my stay here, was in a safe spot outside of the city. Far from the city if you are looking to get there, but this was nice for my stay since I was headed to Tillsonburg.     The lady working at the desk on Jan 25 with glasses and purple shirt, completely made our day!! I hope she is recognized for her customer service skills. We messed up on our check in dates, and we were still accommodated accordingly. After mediating that plus a cancelled flight, this was a huge stress relief.Very clean hotel with excellent location!Airport shuttle and long term parking available.     The grumpy man with the long white beard driving the shuttle is still there despite prior comments… management closing their eyes? It started with the misleading shuttle information and much longer distance from the airport… called the hotel to ask for a shuttle as no regular shuttles at this hotel… I usually stay a Doubletree but this one should not carry the brand name… far far far from the airport and having to call? When calling front desk I was transferred to the grumpy man who asked me where he should pick me up… told him where all shuttles are picking up guests at terminal 1… he should know better than me as the shuttle driver… I asked if he had a bus with hotel name on it or would he recognize me… he said his van had a cookie on it… eventually arrived and I flagged him… asked if my luggage was heavy? Shuttle was dirt inside and out… clearly not a management focus… Later he was hanging around the lobby on his phone and speakerphone on… management must be ok with this… happy hour is a good value but the nacho was poor quality with cheese sticking to the paper… no need to write anymore… i just won’t go back! Pay a little bit more and get treated well! I now understand the lower pricing…
