    Rooms Are Dirty/Management Sucks

    Parking is a joke and you have to walk in and out of the garage by walking through a section that’s says vehicles only and has no side walk. The lobby is nice but once you get to your room you find out it hasn’t been properly cleaned, there is hair in the shower and in the sink. Once we did clean up the room ourselves, I took a shower and the whole bathroom was flooded because the drain is in between the glass and the toilet. The caulk in the bathroom was peeling and discolored and looked like a toddler applied it. The view from the room shows nothing but garbage and random objects thrown on the roof. No iron in room but they will provide a disgusting steamer that hasn’t been cleaned in who knows long. If you are forced to use it, your clothes will smell and you will get black particles all over your clothes. Last but not least do not use there make shift elevator!! It is dangerous and they definitely neglect maintenance. My wife injured herself and when we told them the next day they basically implied we were lying and why didn’t we report it sooner.

    Perfect Stay for a Family Wedding!

    We stayed at The Gladstone House for a family wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, it was a truly memorable weekend stay.The hotel itself is beautiful—classic boutique charm with thoughtful artistic details that make every space feel intentional and unique. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-designed, with everything we needed for a relaxed and enjoyable stay.What really stood out was how ideal the Gladstone was for a wedding weekend. Having family and guests staying in the same hotel made everything feel easy, connected, and special. The staff were warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming, which greatly enhanced the overall experience.The location is also fantastic—central, walkable, and close to great food, shops, and Toronto energy, while still feeling cozy and intimate.If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with personality, excellent service, and a perfect setting for a wedding or family gathering, I would absolutely recommend the Gladstone. We would happily stay here again.

    a 20min by car from the airport, on walking distance from center and lake, good service, nice breakfast, clean rooms, gentle staff,...all we need for a stress-free businesstrip.

    Oldest hotel in the city

    Cool boutique hotel in West Queen area of downtown Toronto, famous for being the oldest continually operated hotel in the city. Very small rooms, but nicely appointed. The old school hand operated elevator is very unique, as is the billiards room on the second floor. Enjoyed drinks in the bar area. They have a gym in the basement. No parking on-site but they have an arrangement with the metro garage across the street. Easy walk to a variety of bars and restaurants. Streetcar line runs right out front. Room was quiet, good sleep quality.

    Wedding Takeover - No facilities

    This hotel looked great and I booked it to use the lovely bar and restaurant. However on arrival the whole hotel including, the bar, lobby and restaurant had been given over to a wedding. There was no prior notice of this and it was very awkward for guests checking in. The room was nice but the hotel should not have been charging guests in excess of £240 per night for a service they could not deliver. From comments it looks like this happens regularly.
