Hotel was in a good location, close to everything I needed. Hotel is going through some reno's so expect some noise during the day. Front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the lounge/bar had great service as well. The room was clean, I had no issues during my stay.

Maybe the worst hotel stay I've ever had. They're under renovations which are ear splitting from 9am on. DO NOT plan to work or do anything in the room - you will want to leave ASAP during the day!It's a good thing they're under renovation because the rooms look like they've been through a war zone. Holes in the wall, carpet coming apart, wallpaper coming off everywhere, dirty grout, light switches on their last legs, non-functional exhaust fan in the bathroom, A/C surround is coming up...will upload pics later but it is BRUTAL.Too late to cancel they said. I also booked 2 days separately to use my Chase credits - despite each night showing as the same type and price on the site, the front desk said they were different and so I had to move rooms.Hotel also apparently 100% full both nights. Full of disappointed and upset guests I am sure...Cannot believe I paid normal hotel prices for this place. Would never come back; will probably have PTSD. I had a business guest arriving and I wanted to authorize my guest to charge food and other incidentals on my corporate credit card as well as the room charges. This is standard practice all over the world, but this hotel refused to accommodate my request. They said my guest would have to pay for incidentals himself. Not acceptable, so I had to book a hotel that follows standard industry practice. This place is dated and gross. I would not recommend staying here if you can avoid it. There are scratch marks in the headboard. Very dated. Doesn’t have the same clean and bright feel as other holiday inn express. Only positive is the staff are very nice. I honestly do not understand this hotel's 4-star rating on TripAdvisor. The Holiday Inn & Suites Mississauga Meadowvale hotel is severely lacking in upkeep and cleanliness. Upon check-in, we immediately asked for a new room as our room had an overpowering cigarette smoke odor. Our new room was better but still had a dingy smell. The bathrooms had a moldy/mildew smell. Overall, the room and bathroom was pretty gross. The pool area was even worse. It honestly didn't even look like the floor was regularly cleaned. It was also incredibly humid in there even though there wasn't a hot tub.I would NOT recommend staying here.
