Location

This hotel is located just 30 minutes by car from Toronto city centre. It is also only a 5-minute walk to the Toronto Congress Centre.

Facility

The hotel has 3 suites, 93 single rooms and 98 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included.     The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and fresh. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport.     Arrived back from Cuba Jan 21 at 2:15 am and had a reservation at holiday inn 600 dixon. Shuttle service on reservation was 24/7 so I phoned and they said no shuttle service until 4am. I was left stranded so I called a taxi to hotel. Complete incompetence...     Holiday Inn Toronto-airport East by IHG is quite ok in case a stopover between the flights is required. I've stayed there for 1 night only. Good thing this property provides a free airport shuttle and it takes around 10-15 minutes to get to hotel from Toronto Pearson airport. Many hotels in Canada and the US still offer free of charge transportation, while in Europe in most cases you need to pay for it. Check-in was quick. I've booked a standard room with 2 queen beds. Room was all right but in general that property definitely requires a refurbishment. Breakfast was not included in my rate but there is a Perkins restaurant (diner styled) at that hotel with many meal options available. Pancakes with a syrup were actually pretty tasty. I can rather describe my stay at Holiday Inn Toronto-airport East as neither good, nor bad. It was quite an average experience. But because of a free shuttle option I may stay there again in the future.     Stayed mid week for a conference for two nights. Was woken both mornings at 5:30am by the garbage truck outside my window, as were all my companions on that side of the building. Room was tired, wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, toilet pipe just jutting out of the wall, wallpaper loose over it. Tub plug not working, clothes drawer constantly rolled open. Poor water flow.Staff had no uniforms, just a lack of professionalism. Polite comments to front desk were not well received.Would not stay again.
