    Awful Experience

    rating27 May 2026

I had booked here for one night after arriving at the airport, so location is the only good thing about it. The hotel is very run down, it is not clean, there is tape on the carpet keeping it together. Unsavoury guests and unfortunately I felt very unsafe, even in the room (which was an inter connecting room) and ended up purchasing an alternative hotel and leaving the same night. Please don't waste your money like I have had to and book somewhere else to start with !!

Lots of activity - not in a good way

    rating17 May 2026

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport. Staff was pleasant for our limited interactions. But this hotel is extremely busy in the lobby and elevators. There's a group of people staying that have been displaced from their homes unfortunately. There are people constantly standing directly outside the front doors smoking. There are security everywhere but they must have limited to no power as they just stand around, or maybe they just don't care. I saw several times young people in the parking lot trying different car doors to see if they were open, even with security in the parking lot. In our 5 nights police presence was required 2 different times, and another time the fire alarm (false alarm) was set off evacuating the hotel. There were several sports teams staying there and on Saturday night one of the displaced guests was chasing the 13 and 14 year old kids, one kid being tackled. I had to tell my kid to stay in place in their hotel room. Total sh!t show. I could say more but we're so glad to be out of there. Worst hokiday inn

    rating14 May 2026

Been a Gold member for years, but this was by far the worst stay we’ve had at a Holiday Inn and it’s making us reconsider staying with the brand altogether. The biggest issue was the noise. The soundproofing was terrible — we could hear children stomping overhead until nearly midnight, along with people partying and talking loudly in the hallway late into the night. We called the front desk, but nothing was done to address it.We had rented two rooms on different floors, and both experienced the same noise problems, so it clearly wasn’t isolated to one area of the hotel. Despite seeing a strong security presence, it seemed ineffective since the disturbances continued without intervention. To make matters worse, when we raised our concerns at checkout, the manager showed little interest in resolving the issue or acknowledging the poor experience.Very disappointing stay overall, especially for loyal longtime members. Soci Assist, Other at Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport by IHG, responded to this review Hi Joel G,We’re truly sorry to hear about your recent experience and the noise disturbances you encountered during your stay. Active car thefts on their parking lot

    rating21 Mar 2026

My husband and I arrived on March 13th 2026 for a one night stay and the 7 days park and fly. On the first night of our vacation, my brand new Jeep Rubicon was stolen from their parking lot. After posting about our situation, we learned that their parking lot has active ongoing car thefts. Staff admitted it was an real - reoccurring problem. Three vehicles were stolen that same night. Where is the advisory? Holiday Inn never contacted us about the theft. The Toronto police called us in Jamaica. The only compensation received from Holiday Inn was a refund for the week’s parking fee via email. No refund for our room to say sorry, no complimentary stay when we arrive to make attachments. Awful!

Watch out for the Holiday Inn World Car Park Inc PARKING SCAM

    rating13 Mar 2026

My wife and I do a lot of travelling. My wife is an IHG member and we have stayed at the Holiday Inn 970 Dixon Road around 30-40 times along with 2 tag-along couples twice a year that we go with… We have stayed enough times to have developed personal relationships with some of the employees, some employees are real characters and enjoyable to interact with like AJ shuttle driver and Aunt May in the restaurant and some … not so much… like behind the scenes in the back office like Serkan and Triza. We stayed a night to catch a Maple Leaf game on Feb 28 on IHG membership points. Points covered the room but not parking, no problem it is only $30. The parking was paid up front, we got our room key, used the key at the parking gate received a bar code ticket and parked the car. We watched the Maple Leafs lose again in person at the Scotiabank Arena and the next day checked out and got to the car. At the gate our room key or bar code ticket would not open the gate, it remained closed would not open until we paid a second time. (4 cars impatiently honking behind us). We went to the front desk and explained the situation and showed the desk attendant our second bar code from the gate, along with the first bar code from the day before. The desk attendant was in agreement with us for a refund but could not authorize a refund because the car park is owned by a Third Party!!!? (World Car Park Inc). So, I commented “Holiday Inn is willing to accept my $30 on behalf of World Car Park Inc but not willing to refund $30 by a mistake made by the front desk on behalf of World Car Park Inc?” He replied yes and gave me a business card for a Holiday Inn Rep to email to get a refund. I emailed Serkan and this is where it gets really weird…. She asked for proof of purchase for the first payment of $30 and the second payment, all line items with dates and times stamp on personal bank statements, of both Debit cards used… what are the last four digits of both cards and expiry dates…. The one payment with debit card was linked to Apple Pay so they wanted the Apple Payment statement and card number ending in last 4 digits… it was nuts!!! We are over 30 emails back and forth for 8 days!!!....confirming debit card numbers, statements, receipts, time stamps bar code tickets… I have had less scrutiny for a bank loan to buy a car!! And the verdict … is World Car Park inc cannot cross reference our second payment by Apple Payment. I have asked Serkan and Triza to raise this issue to higher level of management and the emails have gone dead silent. This is $30 …we are probably directly and indirectly (friend travelling with us) involved in the payment of over 100 nights stay at the Holiday Inn in 15 years…. We have shown car park payments going to Holiday Inn Etobicoke… and World Car Park Inc… we have proved that $30 twice has been paid out of our account to these 2 companies… it is not our fault that World Car Park inc cannot find this charge and cross reference on their ledger….I think it is laziness or blatant indifference to customer service for an IHG member… I should have had a refund at the front desk on Mar 1st. We are so frustrated over the treatment of a small charge that we are contemplating not staying there anymore. To all people checking out MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF FOR PARKING!
