Location

The heart of downtown Toronto is the Entertainment District, offering the best in theatre, sports, dining, attractions and nightspots, and the Financial District, home to many major banks and corporations. The hotel places guests within paces of the best of both, being located on Front Street, which connects to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It is just a few moments to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre (SkyDome) and Air Canada Centre.

Facility

The hotel has 586 non-smoking rooms, including 45 single rooms, which are located on 25 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hairdresser. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Other amenities available include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. As an extra convenience, bathrooms provide cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

Excellent swimming awaits guests at the indoor pool. The sun loungers are perfect for soaking up some sun. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers tennis. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.     Wonderful Stay!

    A great stay all around! A few hiccups with housekeeping missing some garbage one day, but other than that, the stay was great. We were in town from thursday-tuesday. Paul was especially helpful organizing three different rooms for my family. And the lovely dessert sent to my room for my birthday was much appreciated (and delicious!).We stayed in a city view suite. Some aspect were a bit dated, but it didn't detract from the lovely two-floor separation between living area and bedroom. We all loved the pool! And the close proximity to Union, the Blue Jays game, CN tower and aquarium.Overall - we would come back and stay again!!

    I stayed 6 nights at this hotel as part of a trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls. The hotel is simply unbeatable in terms of it's location. I was checked in by David who seemed very pleasant. I was able to walk to a lot of places from this hotel. My room was a king junior suite on the 25th floor which had an amazing view where you could see the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, the Rogers Centre and Billy Bishop Airport in the distance. You could often see planes taking off and landing. You do pay quite a lot for staying in this hotel, however you're simply paying for a convenient location with unrivalled views. My one issue was the amenities fee, as I simply do not see the point of this considering the premium you pay for your room.I did have breakfast one day just to see how it was, and it was given to me at a discounted rate. The other days I had breakfast from outside. There is a Tim Horton's a short walk away and that was fine. If you are visiting Toronto, then I would definitely recommend staying here.     Overflowing Toilet, Spoiled Milk, Delayed Check-In

    We booked the InterContinental Toronto Centre expecting the level of service, cleanliness, and professionalism associated with a premium InterContinental property. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a memorable family weekend turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel experiences we have had.Our family arrived around 3:30 PM after previously calling ahead regarding early check-in, only to be told our room was still unavailable until after 4:30 PM. During that time, we were left waiting in the restaurant area with hungry, tired, and increasingly overwhelmed children. We had specifically chosen this hotel so our kids could enjoy the pool before attending the Blue Jays game, but because of the delayed check-in we completely lost that opportunity and instead had to rush directly to the stadium.The delay also caused our family to miss out on four promotional giveaway jerseys at the game. We had coordinated with someone holding our places in line, but because we could not access our room and get ready in time, they were forced to enter the stadium before we arrived. Watching our children realize they had missed out because of the hotel delay was incredibly disappointing.Unfortunately, the issues only escalated once we finally entered the room.The toilet overflowed and created an unsanitary bathroom situation involving contaminated water. We reported the issue and requested assistance, yet nobody came in a timely manner to properly address, clean, or sanitize the bathroom while we needed help. Having to deal with that situation while travelling with children at a hotel of this caliber was completely unacceptable.We also experienced serious food and cleanliness concerns throughout the stay. A chocolate milk delivered through room service was spoiled to the point that I became sick almost immediately after consuming it. In addition, insects were observed during the stay, and after returning home we discovered similar bugs within our luggage and belongings while unpacking, leaving us concerned about having to sanitize or potentially discard personal items afterward.Additional frustrations included:Charges remaining on the folio that staff verbally assured us would be compedTechnical issues with the in-room movie service, which became heavily pixelated and unusable shortly after startingGeneral cleanliness and sanitation concerns that continued to add to the discomfort of the stayTo management’s credit, they did respond professionally afterward, removed the remaining breakfast charges, and added IHG One Rewards points as a goodwill gesture. However, considering the nearly $900 cost of the stay and the cumulative impact of the delayed check-in, unresolved maintenance issue, sanitation concerns, spoiled food item, and overall disruption to our family weekend, the resolution still does not feel proportionate to the experience we endured.I understand that occasional issues can happen at any hotel. However, what was most disappointing here was not just one isolated problem, but the number of significant failures that occurred throughout a single stay at a luxury-branded property.I genuinely hope management takes this feedback seriously, both for accountability and to ensure future guests and families do not experience similar issues.
