    Great Service

    rating08 May 2026

Very accommodating service from the front desk, they provided great instructions in terms of the hotel's complicated directions for parking. Upgraded us to a better suite for Mother's day. Overall, the hotel is like a fun escape room like experience with comfort and luxury as your reward at the end.

    Pathetic excuse for a suite

    rating03 Aug 2025

We rented a suite with full kitchen for one night. The cost with taxes was $650.00. When we got to the suite there were no utensils, no pots, pans, baking sheets etc. I went to the front desk and they said I can have plates and cutlery for free but I have to pay $50 to rent pots and pans. After paying $650 they wanted more money. I was SHOCKED. I said to them when you rent a suite with a full kitchen, usually it comes with everything you need for your stay and their response was that I should read the website better. I told them that after that shakedown I'm not coming back and they said that's fine, they don't care.Putting all that aside the attitude at check in before I discovered this issue was like they were being bothered by you, there are no signs anywhere, there are not even locks on the bathroom doors. I'm assuming that there is an extra charge for that too. For the money spent I was expecting much more considering I paid the same thing in Niagara falls for a suite that was 2x the size and had a view of the falls. If I was the owner of this place I'd be ashamed.

We stayed at Liberty Suites for the weekend and overall had a good experience. Upon arrival, we were surprised to be upgraded from a double queen room to a queen suite, which was a nice touch. The suite included a full kitchen—a big plus for us since we were in the Markham/Thornhill area mostly for the food. It came equipped with a full-sized fridge, stove, sink, dishwasher, and Keurig machine. However, there were NO dishes, plates, or basic cutlery like forks, knives, or spoons, and no dish soap provided. Only 3 mugs and a few tea bags. The kitchen basics are available at an additional charge, which feels a bit odd considering the price you pay for the room and the kitchen is otherwise fully equipped but completely empty. So if you’re planning to cook or eat in, we recommend bringing your own utensils. We weren’t told exactly how much the extra fee was—just that it depends on the number of guests and items requested. One feature we really appreciated was the dining table in the room. It had seating for three and was a good size, making it easy to enjoy takeout or meals comfortably—not just on the bed. There’s also a coffee table and two couches near the bed if you need more seating.Cleanliness was decent—we’d rate it around 3.6 out of 4. We requested housekeeping while we were out, but they didn’t change the sheets, only made the bed with the same linens, emptied the garbage, and tidied up the bathroom a bit. Maybe it was because we were only staying two nights, but we expected a more thorough service. The bathroom was spacious and functional and quite new/renovated. That said, the shower in our room wasn’t great—the water pressure was low and the showerhead leaked. The bathtub also could have been a little cleaner upon arrival as I found a hair on the tub. These are small things, but worth noting. One major highlight, though, was the amazing view. The hotel lobby is on the 12th floor and offers a beautiful lookout over the city, with access to a large balcony open at all times. Many rooms also offer city views and private balconies, though ours did not.Underground Parking is free, which is a huge plus, but a little confusing at first since it’s shared with a mall and plaza. It can get busy, but once you figure it out, it’s very convenient. You get in-and-out privileges, and the parking level connects directly to the lobby via elevator. In terms of location, this hotel is quite far from downtown Toronto—about a 30–40 minute drive or a $50 Uber ride. We had a car, so it wasn’t a problem, but this spot isn’t ideal for anyone wanting to stay central. We didn’t use public transit, so we can’t speak to that.Breakfast was included, which was a nice perk. It's available from 7–10 AM and offered a simple spread: tea, coffee, toast, eggs, bread, and muffins but no variety within these. Nothing fancy and little underwhelming quality wise, but convenient. Quantity provided was an also small and guests had to keep asking for refills of coffee and other items. We only went to breakfast one morning as we didn’t particularly enjoy it—it reminded us of a basic Holiday Inn-style offering in terms of both selection and quality. But still a nice perk especially if you are on the go. Overall, we would stay here again. It’s on the pricier side, but the spacious rooms, in-room and hotel amenities, and friendly staff made it worthwhile. A few small improvements however would make the experience even better. I think if they are going to promote this hotel as more upscale and charge the amount they do there needs to be some changes.
