  Serious safety issues at the hotel in the NIGHT

  When we needed help with the aircondioner in the night, there was no one at the lobby. We later learnt that there is only the receptionist on duty in the night shift in the entire hotel and he was assisting someone else. He also has to leave the lobby to provide assistance for towels etc. in the rooms. Is it safe to have only one person in the entire hotel on the night shift? It is very standard in our industry to have one Night Auditor working in the evening, especially due to the size of our hotel.   This was our second stay while visiting family in the area ,rooms are good clean , has a fridge , microwave, coffee machine which was Handy to have these appliances,Bathroom could do with an update but very clean towels a good size , staff very officiant, friendly, and helpful .. there is a complimentary breakfast which is good ceral, yogurts, toast cakes orange juice, toast coffee , the breakfast area is very small and can get quite congested at times ,but there are trays so you can take breakfast back to your room .. resturants are around ,a Polish supermarket next door ,bus stop just outside which goes to Kipling train station to go to downtown Toronto ... yes we will go back again when visiting family ... thank you Monte Carlo Inn ..

  We stayed at this hotel from the 27th Dec to 4th Jan after having to check out of a Air B&B bad experience, all The staff at the hotel were really helpful & friendly , the first room we was given had 2 beds and the room was small and seeing as we was going to be staying for 8 nights we asked to change to a bigger toom which they very kindly did for us , the rooms had been recently been refurbished which was a nice suprise as the pics of rooms on there website were old ... beds were comfy, bathroom ok , tea and coffee facilities in the room and a microwave which was a nice touch. Breakfast was adequate, the breakfast room is a little small and right in the entrance , there was a selection of resturants around , a lovely big polish supermarket almost next door which was handy as could they do some ready meals which we could heat up.in microwave ... there us a bus stop almost outside which was handy to get to kipling metro station ... thank you to all staff Sabrina Meffe, Other at Monte Carlo Inn Toronto West Suites, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for your candid review.   good value, $127. the Monte Carlo is likely a 2 star hotel, almost a 3 on the hotel rating scale. located in mississauga. about 20 minute drive from Downtown Toronto. but downtown comparable hotels are closer to $200, with brand hotels closer to $250. Monte Carlo was clean, room smallish. queen bed comfortable. wifi easy connection, worked good. continental breakfast was good, croissants, coffee, boiled eggs, cold cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt. breakfast eating area little small, only 3 tables. most guests took a tray of food, back to their room. parking free. the monte carlo appeared to be a renovated motel, with outside entrance room doors on most floors. if you want to save some money, and don't mind the 20 minutes drive to downtown, the monte carlo should meet your needs. no swimming pool.   The hotel was great and the room was clean. My only problem was getting to the room. I am somewhat handicap and my mobility isn't all that great. I had to go down and up on the flight of stairs, which made it difficult to get to my room. I came in really late so I didn't complain. The breakfast was in a small room, and there wasn't much room to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Overall, I did like my stay. I just wish I had a different room without the stairs. I had to go up and down on. I would stay here if I made another trip to Toronto.
