  The location was convenient for my stay but not exactly the best area. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.

  Location is not good and it is small , pillowcase and pillow smelling I travel in Canada almost 7 stateBut 117 Pembroke street accommodation is very poor like back packers whole night can’t sleep too noisy even people talk outside you can here no hair dryer basic thing in accommodation 185$canadian + tax Open door start with bed and bed to excess toilet very disappointing !

  Wonderful hotel in Downtown Toronto

  We really enjoyed our stay at Pembroke Inn. We arrived very late, and didn't expect much, thinking that all the best rooms would be taken by then. The staff were super sweet and without even being asked gave us a wonderful room that was freshly renovated, beautifully decorated, cozy and warm (we stayed there after a snow storm). The bedding was really luxury, brand new, the bathroom was super clean and all new, and they also had a nescafe coffee machine with capsules which was such a lovely touch. Best of all, this room was much cheaper than what we'd have paid in any hotel chain in the same area. The location was unbeatable, safe, not far from public transport. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. Big thank you to the front desk staff!

  You Get What You Pay For.

  My title says it all: you get what you pay for here. It's an out of town, average, budget hotel that offers a much cheaper option than the extortionate central hotels. So, on that basis, I will be as honest as I can:-Good things: comfy bed; clean linen and towels; decent ensuite and shower; fridge in room (though noisy); air conditioning in room (also really noisy); coffee machine in room; functional fixtures and fittings; several bus stops nearby to get into city; 10 minute walk from a shopping street with eateries and groceries (I recommend Loblaws); 15 minute walk from Sankofa Square; communal space in lobby with tea, coffee, microwave, fridge, toaster, plates, glasses and ice, plus decent wifi.Not so good things: 45/60 minute walk from CN Tower/Harbourfront or two modes of public transport away (we did get a few Ubers to and from the hotel which are cheap and easy); reception area and corridors resemble a grotty prison; dusty corners and scuffs in room; no breakfast; stuffy/hot rooms (air conditioning too noisy to have on over night); on a residential street that felt sketchy after dark; lots of homeless people/drug dealers/prostitutes lurking around (though we had no issues from any of them) and no lift (but the friendly receptionists will help carry luggage).If you can forgive the not so good things which make this place cheaper, then book it. We would stay again- the price is unbeatable.

  Very accommodating accommodation. I read some negative reviews online and they seemed to indicative this hotel is in unsafe neighbourhood and was not clean. The neighbourhood was fine, what you would expect being a couple of blocks from Younge St. The location is great and very walkable. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The queen sized was nice. The room had a bar fridge, desk and a heat pump that cooled the room well. Washroom had a large shower, toiletries and a funky mirror equipped with a blue tooth speaker to stream music. The wall mounted tv was functional. Desk staff were courteous and they maintained a small lounge with free coffee and tea, as well as snacks for a fee. There is a Harvey’s, pita place and a burrito place across the street on Gerrard. Overall, would stay again.
